Though I feel I must point out, the term "black feminism" is seriously problematic and just goes to show the level of ignorance here. Which was my original point.

Please understand feminism originated with oppressed black women and is inherently ours from origin. So there isn't any 'feminism' then 'black feminism'. As that implies white women own feminism.

When it literally comes from global black culture.

I could take you to Ghanaian families where matriarchal rule is still the norm and even the boys of the family honor and adore this tradition :)

You are right her form is sanitise but OurSharedShelf is her institution and we can't criticise her here. Personally I believe that she is not a great thinker but she has some kind of expertise, how? By having lots of people working for her.

Well Emma's feminism is the most spectacular form of feminism, behind it there is her theory, as she said in her famous speech "Feminism is what I believe", and "Its not the word that counts but the Idea Behind it".
