Lucy does a lot of self reflection throughout this story. Your thoughts about where she was and where she is at the end?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments She is a very strong person, but she still lets what happened to her overshadow her at times. Until she can find a way to bury the past it will continue to haunt her.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments The Lucy we were introduced to in book #1 of this series is not the same person in this book. She has grown tremendously and put a lot of her past behind her. It still crops up in her thoughts, but she no longer freezes up when the going gets rough.

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments I was proud of Lucy by the end of the book. I agree with Robin. She has grown quite a bit.

Lucy is very definitely stronger than the young woman we met in the first book. I don’t think you can bury your past but learn to live with it, productively. It’s helped shape who she is so by embracing and owning it, it can no longer hold you back. She’s almost there.
