I was so glad she read the letters and understood his feelings for her. I liked that she didn't leave and stuck around to talk to Sean when he returned home.

I agree Anita, Lucy was being a bit selfish. She is hard to talk to when she gets in this mood.
I’m not sure Sean saying the things he wrote in that letter would have been as effective. She knew he’d written those feelings out before their interaction so she also knew they were from his heart.
I think Lucy was so devastated because for her it was all about trust. I also admit that I didn’t consider the impact of his earlier deception in the last book where he and others kept the plan for him to be abducted from her. Coupled with this lie of omission, Lucy went under.
As I stated earlier, I had no idea Sean was so vulnerable, how much he depended on Lucy’s love and respect for his own self respect. That was a big revelation for me.
I hope we’ve seen the last of Sean keeping things from Lucy. And, I’m very happy to see that she believes in her own strength for a change.

You have a point that the letter was more powerful, but Sean should have talked to Lucy. In my opinion.
I hope this is it for secrets between these two.
Honestly, Sharon? I didn’t understand why it bothered you more deeply than it did me until this happened. It was a lightbulb moment.

Yes it is sad that Sean felt he needed to be perfect, but having a conversation is part of being perfect too. Maybe he could have started the conversation then handed Lucy the letter saying this is why or something like that.
You can't believe that if he shared his feelings verbally that Lucy wouldn't throw her arms around him and forgive him. She knows those same feelings.
I believe that honesty is the best policy.

Oh. I thought you were saying "Honestly Sharon well snap out of it."
😂
