Marisol de la Rosa escaped the house on El Gato Street, leaving her baby at the church and then walking for many, many miles to the Honeycutt ranch near Laredo. When the family takes her in and gives her assistance, she makes the decision to contact her friend, Angelo, for help. Did you have misgivings about that decision or trust Marisol’s judgment in that moment?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments I thought is was strange she picked him, especially since she thought he was in Mexico. I definitely didn't have warn fuzzes about her decision.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments I had a hard time wrapping my head around Marisol's actions. She had people who wanted to help her. I get that she loved Angelo and thought he loved her.

To be honest, I wasn't sure what to think about Angelo. If he loves her, it seems safer to keep him in the dark until Marisol has more information. I was anxious when she left the farm.

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments At the time I trusted her decision. She seemed to trust him enough.
I didn't agree with her walking somewhere to meet him. I didn't understand why he couldn't just pick her up there.

I knew in that moment it was a mistake but kept hope that I was wrong. Finding out that he was her first baby’s father had me better understand her choice but the fact that he was meeting her alone confirmed my instinct that this wasn’t going to end well.
