Sean has a moment when he can share the news about Jesse with Lucy before he leaves for Mexico but opts not to do so. Even his brother Kane urges him to tell Lucy right away. At that moment, why did you think he chose not to tell Lucy? When we later learn his true reasons, did that change your point of view?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments I kept yelling at the book "Tell Her!!!". He wanted time to process and formulate how to tell her and to be there and not headed out the door when he did. There was never going to be an ideal time to tell her this kind of news.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I was yelling the same thing, Anita. There is never going to be a perfect time to tell Lucy. Just spill your guts and tell her what little you know.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments I was angry with Sean for not saying something to Lucy. Every time he contacted Lucy, I expected him to say something, even if it was vague.

I'm not sure I've forgiven Sean yet. The explanations he gave didn't redeem him either, for me. Lucy would not be angry about something from before he knew her. Secrets now is not easily forgivable.

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments I really felt for Sean during all this. He really didn't know how to tell Lucy, but I really think she would have been okay. I was a bit disappointed when we found out is reason for not telling her right away. They have a good relationship and Lucy would have understood.

Yeah, I was yelling at my book, too. I couldn’t believe he made this choice and was extremely disappointed in him. When I learned how insecure he was about Lucy judging him, I understood it enough to stop being angry about it. It made me sad to think he was so insecure about himself that he felt he needed to be perfect in order to deserve Lucy. It all ties in to his complicated relationship with Duke.

He’s got some work to do.
