I just faced a name problem in my novel, Fallen.... I can't decide if I should spell my villians name as Arrow of Aero?

message 202: by Niki (new)

Niki | 2381 comments Arrow. Aero makes me think of the preppy store.

I think Arrow is better too but it almost seems kind of boring... I'm curiouse though, how does Aero remind you of a preppy store?

message 204: by Niki (new)

Niki | 2381 comments Aeropostale.

How is Aeropostale preppy? I've shopped there and it's not preppy. It's casual.

message 207: by Acacia (new)

Acacia (acaciaa) I think I own clothes from Aeropostale. Or at least my mom did, and those clothes somehow miraculously wandered into my closet. I don't think it's preppy.

Thank you. I don't think it's preppy either. DOWN HOLLY DOWN.

Fwit Aero's kewler hahaha

Ah, I see.

message 212: by Sella (new)

Sella Malin | 3094 comments Your school actually has "popular" girls? Hm. My school doesn't.

Just because the popular girls wear it doesn't make it preppy. If a nerd wore abercrombie, it doesn't make abercrombie nerdy.

Well, in my school, abercrombie and aeropostale and whatnot are preppy clothes. Everyone else wears sweatshirts and jeans.

message 214: by Fwit (new)

Fwit every1 at my school wears aero or abercrombie or hollister.
and every girl wears uggs.
it's weird
they're all like hecka rich and our pride is in our cheer team
but every1's heckaa smart...

message 215: by Acacia (new)

Acacia (acaciaa) I can't keep track of fashion in my school, nor do I care to. My closet is a mix of clothes I've had the last 2 years and my mom's clothes that my grandma thought were mine and I didn't correct her about.

What kind of school do you go to? It sounds like those stereotype ones in the movies. Lol.

At my school, everyone wears whatever the hell they want and nobody cares or classifies them as something. I wear whatever clothes are in my closet, which are mostly bright crazy neon stuff from Pacsun and whatnot. A lot from Target, too. Target has neon stuff sometimes.

i agree.

message 218: by Allie (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) | 93 comments my school is too big to actually really have popular ppl now... you don't really know very many people at all. but i live in a rich area, even tho i'm not... juicy and other designer stuff are what the really popular ppl last year wore, but other ppl did too. i like pacsun and hollister if i can find stuff on sale.

message 219: by Sella (last edited Oct 14, 2009 10:19PM) (new)

Sella Malin | 3094 comments My school has 1,600 people and there are no stereotypical popular people. Sure, there are some people who are known by a lot of people because they're really involved in activities, but it's nothing like the movies.

Ooh, and I love Pacsun. My favorite store. I love neon stuff. I've got, like, five different colored neon jeans, and about twenty neon shirts from there. XD

My school's more similar to Holly's. Preppy kids wear Aeropostale. :P
It might be a regional thing .....

In our school there are popular kids in freshmen year, after that, there isnt really "popular" people. Sure, there are snobby people but know one really likes them anyway. I guess I hang out with the artsy music types plus pretty much everyone. A lot of my friends are older than me...

Our school dosent have uniforms only a really strict dress code which no one follows :P

Oh, and I think it is a regional thing, preppy kids at my school where Aeropostale.

I was. It was during Journalism. I decided that Goodreads was more important than writing an article about fundraising.

message 229: by Acacia (new)

Acacia (acaciaa) I approve of your decision.

message 230: by Niki (new)

Niki | 2381 comments Good to know.

At out school most of the websites are blocked, even goodreads so mostly all you can do is the stuff you are supposed to do.

message 233: by Acacia (new)

Acacia (acaciaa) Yeah, Goodreads is blocked at our school too.

Ahem...not that I tried...

message 234: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) haha, that's awsome guys real awsome. poking around in the internet while you're supposed to be doing somehting else at school. haha

* shakes head*

message 235: by Acacia (new)

Acacia (acaciaa) Psh. How important is this 'school' anyway?

message 236: by Niki (new)

Niki | 2381 comments All the other websites are blocked, but not Goodreads. And, Miss Stephanie, I got my work done too. SO THERE!

message 237: by Acacia (new)

Acacia (acaciaa) Our school blocked it on the grounds that it is a "social networking site".

message 238: by Niki (new)

Niki | 2381 comments Acacia wrote: "Our school blocked it on the grounds that it is a "social networking site". "

I'm not sure that my school knows about it.

And, Acacia, school is very important.

Last year, our school had huge problems with kids bypassing the firewalls and using gaming sites, so they pretty much blocked everything that isn't 100% educational.
