Wow. Haha. Flaming toilet seat ... jeez.

Hey, Brigid, maybe Eva should have died THAT way. That would certainly make her extremely depressed.

JOKING. lol XD

I probably swear more in my writing than I should, but for the particular story I'm writing right now thats just the characters personality. She loves doing this that she shouldent and shes real nasty and mean some times, because thats just who she is. If I had her say shoot instead of the other word or darn, it wouldent make sense with the character.

That's what I was trying to say before, sometimes the character's personality allows for that language.

Annemarie Carlson (annielawlz) | 3393 comments Mod
Yes, so if your character swore it just wouldn't be thier personality and it wouldent fit, right?

message 459: by Ky (new)

Ky (poeticshark) | 10786 comments For my characters? Yes. If mine swore, it wouldn't fit.

message 460: by Ky (new)

Ky (poeticshark) | 10786 comments At the moment, the character view I am writing in is a 14 year old girl and a clone who doesn't even use abbreiviations!

this is the link to my list of names...not all of them are on yet, I haven't had the time. I'll be sure to update it soon.

Ky (poeticshark) | 10786 comments It might help.

message 479: by Krys (new)

Krys (krisslee) | 5015 comments Mod
Yeah... I've always been really bad with names. I've only ever come up with a few of my own that are half-decent-- Lumiere, Ombre, Dae, Jeremiah, Kierlan, Kristin and some other ones. That's why I love baby-naming sites :P

message 480: by Ky (new)

Ky (poeticshark) | 10786 comments Keirlan is a good name. I know someone named Keiran, adding the 'l' is cool!

message 481: by Krys (last edited Oct 22, 2009 07:37PM) (new)

Krys (krisslee) | 5015 comments Mod
Yeah :P Kierlan is the name of my male main character in Fallen, who for some reason is one of my favorite characters.

message 482: by Ky (new)

Ky (poeticshark) | 10786 comments lol..prob cause you thought up his name, and probably made it to fit him! (don't you just love it when it works out like that?!)

message 483: by Krys (new)

Krys (krisslee) | 5015 comments Mod
((lol, yes!))

Suprisingly the name actually kind of does fit him, even though its kind of randomish.

message 484: by Ky (last edited Oct 22, 2009 07:45PM) (new)

Ky (poeticshark) | 10786 comments hehe. a lot of names work liket hat..if you use the right ones. I love doing that, and choosing 'perfect' names.

message 485: by Krys (new)

Krys (krisslee) | 5015 comments Mod
Yeah! Sadly though, a lot of people I know don't know who to pronoce Kierlan... Hehe.

message 486: by Ky (new)

Ky (poeticshark) | 10786 comments Keer-lyn , Keer-lan, or Keer-len?

I say it all three ways. Am i close?

message 487: by Krys (new)

Krys (krisslee) | 5015 comments Mod
Mhmm... Pretty close, I don't exactly know how to explain it. Kierlan is pretty much pronouced how it looks.

Kier-lyn

message 488: by Ky (new)

Ky (poeticshark) | 10786 comments Kay, so the first one. That's how I figured it was for a guy.

message 489: by Ky (new)

Ky (poeticshark) | 10786 comments How would you say this one?

'Everette'?

and boy or girl?

(I'm using it, this is just a 'fun' game..lol)

message 490: by Krys (new)

Krys (krisslee) | 5015 comments Mod
Yep. It's prononced the first one. It's actually pretty fun to say outloud, for some odd reason.

Everette?

Ever-retti?

message 493: by Ky (new)

Ky (poeticshark) | 10786 comments no, but close. I just wanted to show it was the female version, so I added the 'e'.
Ever-ett.

Thanks!~

message 494: by Krys (new)

Krys (krisslee) | 5015 comments Mod
Lol, the sad thing is I've always been really bad at prononcing names in other books correctly... I usually prononce them all weird-like.

message 495: by Ky (new)

Ky (poeticshark) | 10786 comments Ya, I prefer to make the names seem more interesting..lol..

example:

Lara

Pronounced by me: Lay-ra
Probably supposed to be: Laura

lol I loved that book though! Read it twice!

Krys (krisslee) | 5015 comments Mod
Lol, cool. Now I've gotta come up with a clan-name for a book I'm writing a prologue for... Hmm...

message 497: by Ky (new)

Ky (poeticshark) | 10786 comments Clan name?

"Coach" ((???Meh????))

((sorry I've got to go to bed!))

Krys (krisslee) | 5015 comments Mod
All righty then... For my book Fallen I needed to come up with a name for an elite group of about 24 Nephilim Warriors, and the only thing I could come up with is the Volatilis , which in latin means 'the winged' So does that work, you think, or is completely weird and I should come up with something else?
