I started this today. I have a feeling this is going to be cute and heartbreaking all at the same time
Back from camping and finally started this last night. I'm on chapter 22. I'm really enjoying so far. Veronica is the right kind of ornery. I hope she and Patrick let each other in a bit. They could both use the company. Love her visits with the penguins too!!
Still mostly on schedule. My heart goes out to young Veronica. I wonder if the perspectives of others are rubbing off on her while at the South Pole. It really is a sweet book. I'm also currently obsessed with penguins now and keep trying to convince my 5 year old nephew to want to watch Happy Feet.
Finished today. Predictable but sweet. I will miss the penguins.
My favorite part of this book is the Penguins. Even when they were pecking knees and being ornery. I loved the little journal blogs. One spot in the story that made me laugh was when Veronica felt blurriness coming from her eyes when she first saw the Penguins. This was a really cute book. I would have never picked this up on my own, so thank you for the suggestion.
The penguins were priceless!! The little baby of fluff. So cute! I loved her reactions to any fuzzy emotion, problem with the eyes. So glad you enjoyed!
