How come this left me with more questions than answers? Because it totally just did that. First of all, Coyote lied to them about all of the singer children being dead. One last child had survived. I hope it ain't Leah son Zander, pretty sure that rapist of a child is dead. I am glad that the Singer of the woods is dead too. Our home girl Anna almost got raped by whatever that octopus looking thing was. Also, Charles brother Samuel showing up to the house with a baby. Apparently, Samuel had a child with Ariana that they can't keep safe. So, it is up to Anna and Charles to raise and keep the child safe. I felt so much pain for poor Samuel. Not being able to raise his own daughter. But I just know Anna and Charles will do a good job raising her. So many questions and so little answers. I hope that means will get more of Anna and Charles story. Because I definitely need more answers... >.<"

Where did you get the idea that there were more children of the singer? if you mean the tiny squid he found, that was what was left of the singer and Coyote ate and killed it. Zander was the only kid the singer had, and the children of the witches all died when the singer died.
As for your other questions regarding the child left by Samuel, of course there will be more books, Patricia Briggs already clearly has plans for more books. If you check her website she already has the plan for the next 3 or 4 years in books.

Coyote constantly lies; it’s his nature. I agree that it was sad for Samuel to leave his daughter, but I am happy for Anna and Charles to have this purpose. I also agree that more books are planned. 😀

I just finished reading the book - I have some head-scratchers too… It did seem like there was one child of the Singer still alive (Coyote clearly mentioned that). But about Leah - I didn’t quite get the details of her story. Her family was close to death by starvation when the Singer found them. But I got the idea that the only survivors were Leah and her father. So the Singer used the both of them to procreate with each other? And it sounded like she had many children which were all killed by Sherwood. Did Sherwood kill Leah’s father as well? Or did the singer impregnate Leah on its own? Also, who the heck was Zander with when he left Anna in the cave by herself? Anna had heard some sort of activity going on, then there was still another victim in the cave that didn’t get rescued… I’m thoroughly confused.

Just completed a re-read and I can't believe we still have such a long wait till the next book. Hoping there is a book about where Samuel and Ariana have been and what they've been up to - it's been mentioned in the last couple of books vaguely and I am intrigued

My impression was the last remaining 'child' was the garden at the facility which Coyote speaks to in that paragraph
