I think I'm going to have to swap out War and Peace for another antonym book. I picked up The Idiot as a side read, and it's a real slog, and I can't go back to W&P because I'm fairly sure I'll get my Russians mixed up. Plus, I think I'll be a bit fatigued when I eventually finish it & won't be eager to rush back into another one. Oh, rush ... Russian ... I see what I did there.

I read Big Little Lies for antonym book and enjoyed it a lot and although it has almost 500 pages, it's a page-turner :)
Ok then ladies, I've just put it on my Kindle! I could use a bit of an easy page turner at the moment - I feel like I've read an awful lot of classics & heavy stuff this year!
I'm 70 pages in, and it's certainly an easy read. Plus, it's set in Australia (where I'm from) which is a nice change!
Yes, it's totally a page turner and the story was quite good :)
I enjoyed the fact that there were adults and children, it was a nice change too, with the australian setting!

It's such an easy read, and kind of feels like the written equivalent of watching reality TV. Which I'm finding a nice change!
Thank you!! I only read one book in January so I was really worried that I'd not make it. I'm glad I did! I kind of feel like I can goof off and read whatever I want now.
I've decided to include my other two challenges here too, so I have one spot to keep them all together. :)
One left to go on my Book Riot challenge - yeah! Comparing my two lists, I have enjoyed the books on the Popsugar challenge far more - 15/23 of my Book Riot list have been one or two stars. :(
We had a few books same this year - Perks, Big Little Lies, Age of Innocence and Little Prince on your challenge. Slaughterhouse 5 and The Alchemist on your other challenges.
I really enjoyed all of those ones, apart from The Alchemist which I absolutely hated with a fiery passion.
Woohoo! I just finished A Clockwork Orange, so that rounds out my three challenges for the year. So far, I've read 110 books this year (that aren't picture books) which is pretty mind-blowing - I really didn't think that at all possible.I have to say, the original Popsugar challenge really lit a literary fire under my butt, and I'm very grateful for it!
That's amazing, three challenges completed - congratulations! We read a lot of the same books, and many are on my to-read list. I absolutely hated the Alchemist, too... and I think that was the first time I hated a book. I loved The Color Purple, too!
