Hope you’re there.))

Sushie || "In writing, you must kill all your darlings." -William Faulkner Hailee walks into the library after Lorcan and smiles and waves when he turns around from grabbing the book. She isn't sure if he noticed her or not, so she says "Hey Lorcan!" and makes her best effort at acting casual.

Sushie || "In writing, you must kill all your darlings." -William Faulkner "I was just wandering the halls and then I saw you, so I decided to say hi." Hailee explained.
Casual! her inner voice hummed.

Sushie || "In writing, you must kill all your darlings." -William Faulkner "Sure!" Cam exclaimed. And her tummy seemed to have a few suggestions, taking hints from the way it growled loudly at her. Oh yeah... I was going to eat something...

Sushie || "In writing, you must kill all your darlings." -William Faulkner "Oh! Sure! I am, too, I just don't know where the cafeteria is. Haha, I'm not even smart enough to read a simple map." She hadn't tried to say that last part out loud, just found it slipping out. She sealed her lips tight and looked away. "Anyway..." She said nervously.

Sushie || "In writing, you must kill all your darlings." -William Faulkner Hailee smiled and let out a soft chuckle at how nice he was being to her. As a friend. her stupid mind just had to add. Yeah. A good friend. She shot back, trying to convince herself that she only thought of him that way. She pulled out the school map again and held it out so they could both see at the same time.

Sushie || "In writing, you must kill all your darlings." -William Faulkner When she felt him step closer, Hailee's heart went wild. Even though he wasn't very close at all, she couldn't help remembering the hug they'd shared earlier. Stop it, Hailee! she scolded herself, Why are you like this?
"It looks like it might be around the corner and then two more rights." Hailee said, trying to drown out her screaming thoughts.

Sushie || "In writing, you must kill all your darlings." -William Faulkner "Okay! Let's go!" Hailee said, quickly walking far ahead in an attempt to escape the awkward situation.

Sushie || "In writing, you must kill all your darlings." -William Faulkner ((It's okay, I figured lol!))
((Meet you in cafeteria?))

Raven skipped in with Cam. She picked a book about dragons off a shelf and sat down on a window seat. Raven looked at Cam. “Are you going to pick a book?”

Willow smiled. A fluffy black cat poked its head out of a shelf, padded over and meowed at Raiden

message 166: by [deleted user] (new)

Rai smiled at the cat and gently picked it up and held it close, "Hello little one."

Cam shook her head. "It's fine... I don't really read a lot." She said, passively. She kept her distance from the various other groups of friends in the library as she studied the library's neverending shelves of millions of books. It was so vast and extremely impressive.

“Noir likes you.” Willow remarked. Noir purred.

“Oh, okay,” said Raven. She smiled and put her back down. “Reading is boring anyway when I’m excited like this. I know a secret.”

Rai looked at Willow as he gently pet Noir, "Really? Cool."

“Yeah. Usually, she tries clawing people.” Willow said. A falcon flew in from a window and perched on her shoulder.

Rai looked down at the cat in his arms then up at the falcon. "Good to know, and who is that?"

Cam perked up at the word "secret", and before she was asking, "What's the secret?"

message 174: by [deleted user] (new)

“Oh. This is Freedom, my pet falcon.” Willow said, scratching Freedom under the chin

message 175: by [deleted user] (new)

"You're just full of surprises aren't you." He said playfully as he placed Noir on his shoulder

message 176: by [deleted user] (new)

“I’m one of those.” Willow replied with a grin. Noir curled around his neck, purring

message 177: by [deleted user] (new)

He smiled at the kitty and then looked back at Willow. "Yes, you are." He said softly as he moved closer and put a piece of her hair behind her ear

message 178: by [deleted user] (new)

Willow blushed. Freedom spread her wings and lifted off, spiraling around.

message 179: by [deleted user] (new)

Rai watched Freedom for a second before looking at Willow again. "So, what are you planning to do today?"

message 180: by [deleted user] (new)

“I don’t know. I was planning to meet Kayleigh.” Willow said

message 181: by [deleted user] (new)

Rai nodded and sighed, "I guess I should apologize to her about the other day."

message 182: by [deleted user] (new)

Kayleigh walked in. Willow perked up and waved at Kayleigh. Kayleigh came over and sat down.

Cam perked up at the word "secret", and before she was asking, "What's the secret?"

message 184: by [deleted user] (new)

“Follow me,” said Raven. She made sure no one was looking and she sneaked away to a door at the far back of the library.

Sushie || "In writing, you must kill all your darlings." -William Faulkner Cam quickly followed behind her, wondering where Raven could possibly be taking her. She felt a small thrill bouncing inside herself as they snuck to the back of the library. "What's this?" She asked, pointing at the door.

message 186: by [deleted user] (new)

“The secret,” said Raven. Her dark, beautiful eyes shimmered. She opened the door and closed it quickly behind them. It was very bright inside the room, but from the outside, it looked pitch black. Also, the room was huge and a small garden with cherry blossom tree’s bloomed. “This is a enchantment that almost no one knows about,” said Raven. She pointed to small creatures that seemed to be made out of mist. “That’s a wisp. Their magical creatures. They keep this school from having vines grow on it and other things like that. Wisps are a huge power source.”

Sushie || "In writing, you must kill all your darlings." -William Faulkner "Whoah..." Cam breathed, marveling at the view. It was all she could say. All she could think. The room was so beautiful and shimmering and seemed to fill her heart with life.

message 188: by [deleted user] (new)

“I go here when I miss my other friends and family,” said Raven. “Because, this room just makes you feel happy and amazed. Even if you’ve been here a thousand times.” She bent down a picked up a wisp.

((Wisps:

Sushie || "In writing, you must kill all your darlings." -William Faulkner Cam could definitely agree with that. She rarely ever let herself smile. She was always too self-conscious of it. But she had absolutely no control over anything in this room, so the grin came loose and she was so taken by the wonder of it all.

message 191: by [deleted user] (new)

The one Raven had picked up looked at the other to. Wisps didn’t have eyebrows or mouths but they still seemed to make emotions visible. Raven smiled at the wisp. “This is Secret. She’s one of my friends here at this academy.”

((Secret: ))

Sushie || "In writing, you must kill all your darlings." -William Faulkner Cam waved at Secret. "I generally like secrets," she said. What's this? I made a joke? Agh! What's happening to me!? But the wild grin stayed spread across her face as Raven introduced her to her friend.

message 193: by [deleted user] (new)

Secret waved back. “Where is Locket and Key?” Raven asked to the wisp. The wisp pointed to two wisps on a rock. “Can you bring them over here?”

Sushie || "In writing, you must kill all your darlings." -William Faulkner Cam listened to their conversation, intrigued. The wisps on a rock were so graceful and... well... wispy. She was slightly curious what would happen if she touched one, but didn't want to risk it disappearing or anything so she kept her hands to herself. Also, if she was a wisp, she didn't think she would like random strangers just poking her all the time.

message 195: by [deleted user] (new)

“You can touch them, by the way. Wisps love humans and other creatures because they know we are part of nature and they help nature live. If these guys did exist, then our world wouldn’t either. But, the principal of the school doesn’t know this. Their thinking of tearing this room down and that means this school will crumble to the ground…no one else knows this but I heard them talking about it. I’m worried. I love this school and I love wisps. Wisps can only live in certain places and you don’t seem them a lot anymore. I don’t want these to die.”

Sushie || "In writing, you must kill all your darlings." -William Faulkner Cam's jaw dropped. "They? Who's they? And why would they want to tear down this place? I don't like that..." She felt her giddy excitement fleeting as she thought of everything beautiful hear crumbling away. That just made her even sadder.

message 197: by [deleted user] (new)

“ ‘they’ is the principal. And they just want to get rid of this room. They don’t want any other students finding this place out. I think I’m the only student who does know. And you, of course.” Raven smiled shyly. “Um, Cam. I know this is early to tell you, and it’s really only been a bit more then a hour, but, I love you. And I just want to tell you now.”

Sushie || "In writing, you must kill all your darlings." -William Faulkner Cam was still frowning about what Raven said about the principal. Tear this place down? That's so terrible! Why would he--Wait, WHAT? Cam felt her whole body jolt and she couldn't read her own emotions. That one word just kept repeating in her mind over and over and over. Love... love... LOVE... She hadn't heard that word since... No! No! This wasn't supposed to happen! She wasn't supposed to make friends here, wasn't supposed to have someone confess feelings towards her and... and... I definitely wasn't supposed to feel something back.
The last person that told her they loved her... died.
Cam tried to open her mouth and say something, but no sound came out. She felt so bad for Raven, she didn't want her to take this the wrong way, but...
She couldn't decide whether to say the truth or to run away.
Either way, the words I love you, too. stayed lodged in her throat.

message 199: by [deleted user] (new)

Raven chuckled to herself. Then then said, “if your thinking it’s terrible, it is. You know, you don’t have to say anything to me. But if you want to, please, talk to me. And remember: no one is weird. Everyone is just themselves. And if someone doesn’t want to be, then they can be lost. So please, trust me.” Raven didn’t make any reaction about the love part though. She seemed to just put the emotion on a shelf, and wait until it was time to take it out again.

Sushie || "In writing, you must kill all your darlings." -William Faulkner "I..." the words caught in her throat as she tried to get them out. "I... also... kinda... like you..." she let out a breath when the last word finally came out. Why was that so hard? But she felt oddly relieved to get it out, like setting down a huge weight she never knew she was carrying. She also felt guilty, like somehow accepting or sharing her feelings would make Raven die also.
