The only thing about writing is I don't get to read as often as I would like to. I'm half way through my book The Secret at Sunset Hill. I want to finish the book, but writing and editing get in the way. I'm really enjoying reading about Katie Porter and her adventures.

I am reading Robert Fagles’ translation of the Iliad.I’m in reading mode for now.
Just finished my latest and doing some research for my next project.
Still it’s fun just to read for fun.
And you?
I try to read a little every evening, although some evenings it works out better than others. Reading is really part of writing, so when we don't, we're shortchanging ourselves. But yeah, it can be hard to find the time sometimes.
I finished reading Secret at Sunset Hill. I really enjoyed being taken back in time. Not sure what I'm going to read next. Probably a Kathy Reich book, as I've a few more to read in the series.
Sounds good!I found a book on the bookshelf I’ve never read, but saw the movie years ago. Looking For Mr. Goodbar.
I’m interested to see how that type of story written decades ago looks from this vantage point.
I think there was less stress on writing style. We forget that writers used manual typewriters at one point to type their manuscripts. I'm not sure how though. You'll have to let me know what it is like.
When I’m writing I tend to re-read favourite books. Since my new novel is with my editor, I’ll read The Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz. Probably.
I'm working on something kind of fun since I self published. I wrote a book about all my pets. I'd read Marley and Me, and got inspired lol. It's mainly about my old dog Scamp. What would we do without editors? Mine told me things I wasn't even aware of a year ago. She made me think about the pace of a book, as well as the content.
