Tutorial: How to change from beta to regular design.

Goodreads is testing a disastrous new design for the page of each book of their data base and there's an invitation to test this new design. Curiosity got the best of me so I tried it. To say I hated the new design is an understatement. It takes away the most important information: my friends average rating.
With the current design this same book should look like this:


The above is the regular design and normally the first reviews from my friends are ranked according the number of likes they received.

With the new design the reviews that will rank first don't follow a clear approach.

In the case of a different book, The power of Hades, the top ranked review is from a follow, not a friend. The other review was someone from my friend list and notice how her dnf status is brought up to prominence.



To make the new design more hideous they totally eliminated listopia. No friends average, the reviews I care about losing visibility to reviews I don't consider relevant, no listopia...the new design is a disaster, IMHO.

And the worst is that it took me a while to figure out how to go back to the original page.

If you like me clicked on the new design and you don't like it the way to return to the regular design is by clicking the word beta. That way you can go back to the current design which I'm afraid might go away to make room for the new one.

I'm going to allow the duplicate for a while because there aren't current discussions for this book, and this is important information the fans of the author need to know.
