This was my book that had been hanging on my physical bookshelves for many years and kept being skipped over because of a low Lexile. So thank you for these tasks.
This book of a future world has a marvelous plot. Most of the main characters are well filled out and believable. (I have some reservations about Maria, Matt’s BFF). We have science, medicine, politics, and crime blended into the world of a child who is raised until the age of six in isolation and then subjected to an apartheid because of how he was created. But in a nature vs. nurture question takes a different path than his original.
