Whimsical Academy discussion
~
Bailee and Josiah walked to the park. The wind blew and messed Bailee's hair up a little, but she decided there was no use in trying to fix it, so she pulled out her hair tie and pulled the hair tie onto her wrist and let her hair fall around her shoulders.
Josiah removed his shoes, a few blisters on his toes.
"Wonderful," he said with a groan.
Holding them in hand he smiled at her, this was quite enjoyable and Josiah was enjoying the time spent with Bailee.
"Ouch," Bailee said, "We can go back to the academy if you wanted, I could probably find stuff for your feet," Bailee suggested. She honestly didn't want to go back, but he seemed a little uncomfortable.
"It's fine," he said smiling at her.
Josiah would get over it, he had had no many of them they were more annoying then painful at this point. He continued to walk with her.
Bailee smiled. "Anything more I should know about you? Besides, how much you hate shoes," Bailee joked, wanting something to talk about.
He laughed a bit,
"Not really, I don't think I have much to share," he replied.
Josiah had a good amount to share but he didn't want to talk about himself, mostly because he was worried she would see him like everyone else he had told.
Bailee nodded, biting her lip. "I guess we're the same then," Bailee said, completely lying. Her life was a living hell, but she didn't want to burden Josiah with telling him. She gave him a weak smile.
"For sure," he said smiling back like everything was fine.
He could tell they were both hiding things from each other, maybe she would be different, maybe she wouldn't judge him.
Bailee looked at her feet, and then back up at the park. She saw a swingset and ran over to it, "I haven't been on one of these in so long," Bailee said, a smile on her lips. She jumped onto one of the swings and began to swing herself.
He ran after her, being quite fast, thanks to his dad. The parent he absolutely hated, but he didn't need to share that. He jumped onto one next to her and starting to swing as well.
Bailee laughed, a smile tugging at her lips. She continued to swing, swing faster and harder, trying to make her swing go higher than Josiah's swing. She let the smile over take her face.
He smirked and with a wave of his hand he was in the air, flying. Using the small breeze to make himself fly, and smiled at her.
"Guess I got higher," he said, moving so he was higher then she could swing.
Bailee smirked, she let her hands go of the swings strings, obviously not paying attention to her balance. She focused and made her swing go higher by making the swingset taller. Bailee smiled, again not paying to how much she was leaning forward. Her powers stopped imedently and her face froze. She fell off, her face hitting the ground. "Oww," She groaned, sitting up and rubbing her nose. A small smile on her face.
Josiah watched and landed near her,
"You okay?" he asked helping her, and making sure she was fine.
He looked genuinely concerned and felt bad and that he had done something wrong.
Bailee nodded, "Yeah," She said looking at him, "Hey, you didn't do anything, that was all me," Bailee said, with a small laugh. She looked up at him again, "Seriously, I'm fine," She said.
He laughed a bit, but it was shaky and nervous,
"You sure, I can get you something if you want," he offered.
He wasn't back down from helping.
"Josiah, I'm perfectly fine," She said, as a small drop of blood fell from her nose. She groaned and stood up, "Sorry, but could we go back to my dorm so I can get cleaned up?" She asked, holding her nose.
"Yeah, lets go," he said, and tried to help her up.
He walked with her feeling bad for no reason, Josiah dealt with crippling self doubt and things like this made him hurt.
Bailee walked with him and then turned him around, "Josiah, it's not your fault, I was being stupid. Please don't blame yourself," Bailee said, her hands on his arms. She then blushed, realizing what she did, she dropped her hands and went back to holding her nose.
"Okay," he said, he looked at her with brown eyes.
He looked over her shoulder, unable to keep strong eye contact with her for very long.
"Come on lets get you back to the school," he said.
Josiah walked with Bailee till they reached the park, once they were on grass he kicked off his shoes and stuffed them into his bag,
"Here we are I guess," he announced.
Bailee breathed in the fresh air, "yeah," she said, looking at him.
Josiah looked at her and thought of a question to ask,
"You more of an indoor or outdoor, kinda person?" he asked.
They walked along the cement path, Josiah on the grass her on the path, it was nicer on his feet. Though he didn't mind walking on rocks and such since his feet were used to it.
"Indoor, you?" She answered and asked, he seemed like more of an indoor person, even though his father was someone that was ouside more often then not.
"Ummm inside," he said, "But I do like being outside," he adds.
He was an indoor person during summer, and warmer months, but during colder months he was a complete outdoor person and loved it.
Bailee nodded her head, "Cat or dog person?" She asked, looking up at the br.ight blue sky
He thought for a moment, "Cat, I suppose, I've never had either," he says.
It was fine with him, but his parents never cared or had enough time to get him any pet. Nor did they care enough to pay attention to him either.
"So how about you, dog or cat?" he asked.
"Dog, for sure," Bailee said, "My sister and I had one when we were growing up," she said, then looked at the ground.
"That's nice," he said smiling at the sky.
He looked at her and smiled then back to the direction they were walking around. Josiah sighed, grass curling around his toes with every step.
"Did you go back to the party?" she asked, looking up at him.
"Nah, I got bored," he said.
He didn't want to go back alone and thought it hadn't been that interesting in any way.
"Sorry that I got drunk," She muttered, man she had really messed up! All she had wanted to do was talk with Josiah, maybe even tell him that she actually liked him, but of course, she had to get a drink before that and then got drunk, she mentally slapped herself on the face.
"Oh it's fine, you were pretty sober compared to some people I've gone with," he laughed a bit at the thought.
He didn't blame anyone for getting drunk, people had their reasons and he wasn't one to judge.
Bailee sighed, she looked over at Josiah, was it wrong that she wanted to kiss him again? Bailee had figured out that she was starting to change, she was beginning to loosen up around people, and it was because of Josiah. She had been one to curse everyone out for even looking at her, but now, she didnt even care. Something was up, and she wanted to figure out why.
Josiah was also relaxing quite a bit, yet he was still struggling with things, even if people couldn't see or realize it. Josiah was fairly easygoing because he had quite trying to be what others wanted and did his own thing.
Bailee bit her lip, oh lord, what was she thinking?! He obviously hadn't liked the kiss. Bailee shook her head, blushing bright red. She wrapped her hands in a tight hold behind her back. She pursed her lips.
Josiah hadn't actually minded her kissing him, he kinda liked her too and felt he should say something. He looked at her,
"Hey, don't hate me for this," he said, "I like you."
Bailee looked up from the ground, "Really?" she asked, sounding suprised. She then bit her lip again, her cheeks bright red, "I like you too," She said, quietly.
"Yeah," he said, she smiled at her.
He shuffled his feet in the grass and when she replied he's cheeks were a faint rosy colour.
Bailee bit her lip, what was she supposed to do now? She didn't want to move super fast, but she was happy that he now knew that she liked him, but what was the next step?
Bailee blushed crimson, "No, not at all," She said with a smile, "Want to go to the cafe?" She asked, looking up at him.
Bailee smirked, "Such a gentleman," Bailee said with a small laugh, "Race you there," she yelled while running towards the cafe.
"Fine," he smirked and with speed, he gained from his father, Jack Frost, Josiah was already ahead of her.
He looked over his shoulder grinning at her smugly.
Bailee pouted and continued to run after him.
//since he is most likely going to win, you want to post first? XD//
