Oh sorry, I didn't leave much info. It was a paperback read from a person I was sitting next to on a plane. It was ages ago and I should have done this while I had fresher memories.. but it sounded really good. This was about 18 months ago.
What airline, what flight, departing city? Destination city?
Just kidding.
Would you say it is thriller/suspense, or something else?

he he. I was thinking possibly thriller. I'm new to this group and haven't investigated well ;)The guy was observing the couple and felt he was getting to know them..
Was it set in Australia, the US, the UK? Even if Lobstergirl was kidding, where you were might be useful...
Well, the country at least - some of our English requests are from India, which has a whole 'nother publication system going on....
Suzanne, any chance it was a woman watching the couple? For example, The Infatuations by Javier Marías?
This one is only somewhat similar, but I'll mention it just in case you're interested. The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

Hi, guys! I've seen that in a movie... pretty girl on a dinner, he comes back every day to see her... it was with Nicolas Cage I guess, maybe the one he is a psychic... maybe the movie was based on the book you want to find. It's a long shot, but that's all I've got... ;)
Thank you everybody, Kris I'm sure the book is what you've mentioned. You've solved it for me. Thank you so much!! Now just need to work out how to close this thread. Awesome ;)
You can mark this request as solved by clicking the 'edit' link next to the subject line / title, and then selecting one of the "Solved" folders. This will help save our moderators some time. You should also change the subject line / title to start "SOLVED: [then your existing title]" which helps people still find your request later.
Solved requests are almost as important as unsolved requests, so don't delete your info :D
Also, which one of Kris's suggestions was the correct one?
Great! Glad you found your book. :) I had stumbled across The Infatuations a while back, so it was still floating around in my brain.
