June 2021 Travel Challenge (6/1/21-7/1/21)

This challenge is going to be a country challenge! Every month there will be a different country as the challenge/theme/yeetus and you will have to read a book that either:
~the author is from that country
~the book takes place in that country
~the characters are FROM that country
OR something else that applies to all the "rules."

Each team will get a thread to keep track of their points and each team will get assigned a captain to do the scoring.

June's Chosen Country: England
Read as many books that take place in England, or the characters are from England, or the author is from the UK or England/is BritishI! Have fun! I recommend if you're stuck!

Point Values: Only YA and Adult books count, any format/style! (the pages and point values don't make sense but just roll with it)
50-75 pages = 1 point
76-100 pages = 2 points
101-170 pages = 3 points
171-240 pages = 4 points
241-320 pages = 5 points
321-440 pages = 6 points
441-500 pages = 7 points
501 pages or more = 8 points

BONUS POINTS:
-If the title involves a city from England or has the word England in it you get 2 EXTRA POINTS.
-If the author is British, the characters are British, AND it takes place in England you get 4 EXTRA POINTS.
-If only two of the things apply from above you get 3 EXTRA POINTS.
-If the book cover has the country flag on it you get 2 EXTRA POINTS.

P.S. If you can't find a book set in England that you want to read, it does count if you find one set in the UK, which doesn't only include England.

with only so few of us, how do you want to work it?

My first book would be "up on the roof". The author is British, the two main chracters are second generationimmigrats to the UK and the settig is London. The book has 253 pages. That should make for 9 points, correct?

Just try to prioritize more. We all know you love what you do here, but you really should concentrate on your finals, a lot of others here have the same probem, unless they don't live in the US and are subject to the same educational system or have already grown out of it.

Take your time, Ally and I are going to organise our own fun with this challenge, I am sure :)
