What Happens Next?
To play this game, the first person writes two sentences, and then the next person writes two more, and so on. And you have to continue writing the story the first person started, while continuing what is happening in the person before you’s sentences.
Example:
Person 1: Me and my family were so excited for our first vacation of the year. Today we were going to go to Hawaii!
Person 2: We all got up early in the morning and drove to the airport. When we got there, we had to go through security.
Person 3: Then we waited for the plane to be ready. We waited for almost an hour, and while we were waiting we saw someone sitting across from us eating lots of candy.

I’ll start:
Today I was full of mixed emotions. I never knew something like this could happen.

The adrenaline rushing through my veins was nothing compared to my fluttering heart. A grin took over my face and refused to go.

Was this a dream? I found my answer when I stepped into the room, full of all the things I’d been working on for so long.

message 5: by Raynah (new)

Raynah I took a look around the room admiring my progress. The tables and walls were covered with blueprints of my designs that I have been working nonstop on.

Someone with a clipboard walked over to me and said, “Your work is magnificent! We will definitely have these all tested and made soon.” And I could barely contain my excitement.

Bethany (bethiejoy4398) As I watched my work come to life in the hands of others, I thought of my inspiration. Just then someone bumped into me and I turned to see who it was.

"Avery!" I exclaimed

message 10: by Raynah (new)

Raynah Avery was my childhood best friend. We would spend hours upon hours playing make believe out in our backyards.

message 12: by Evannah (new)

Evannah After that abandonment, I didn't allow myself to feel, to think about my emotions. Those same emotions rushed over me like a tidal wave crashing through all sensible thought. She broke my heart, I thought. She broke me, and she didn't even realize it.

I tried to push those thoughts and feelings away, and focus on the exciting things happening. My work was finally being published!

message 14: by Raynah (new)

Raynah Ever since I was child, I've been interested in creating my own gadgets. Finally being able to see my own creations made has been a dream come true

My agent walked over, frowning. “What’s wrong?” I asked.

message 16: by Alya (new)

Alya “ I come baring sad news, you’d have to sit for this unfortunately” I sat as my heart was racing filled with anxiety and fear of what he was about to say before he even said it I knew that it was something that would shatter my soul “ I’ve received a call from the hospital, I’m sorry but your mother has been in a car accident”

message 17: by Hershey (new)

Hershey (ladystardust28) | 159 comments This was wrong. This couldn't be happening. That has be a fake news. She could sense the vertigo sinking in. There was a ringing sound in her ears all she could think was—there has to be a mistake, her mother died in a car accident 6 years ago before she collapsed

“What? No, the can’t be true. She’s already dead.” I say.
“Well then, she must have not been your birth mother.” He replied. Confusion took over my mind.

message 19: by Alya (new)

Alya As I was confused I decided to go to the hospital to resolve the matter because surely it was a mistake, it can’t be my mother. It felt hours as I was walking through those depressing hospital hallways with the nurse leading me to the room, passing by rooms filled with stories and most probably sad ones. As I approached the room that my what’s so called “mother” is staying in, the nurse went ahead before me and told the woman “ your daughter is here to see you “ the woman answered so muddled “ daughter ?My daughter was kidnapped and I was told she died years ago how is that possible??”. I couldn’t handle the confusion and eavesdropping so I entered the room and as I looked to the woman on the death bed I knew deeply that I was connected to her somehow, and I’m sure she felt it too. the facial resemblance between us is too scary, even asking for a DNA test would be foolish because of how obvious it is. I sat on the chair shaking and kept mumbling to myself “ but my mother is dead ! Isn’t she ?”
