Francine (francineallen) | 2 comments I won a silver finalist medal from Sarton Women's Story Circle in 2018, for Memoir. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to add it. I had success in adding my Living Now Gold medal in 2019 but it appears I can no longer add any awards. Not a Poster Child was also listed by Kirkus Reviews as one of their Best Books of 2018, and received the Kirkus Star.

Hi Francine
Usually authors can't enter awards. The Living Now award was entered for you by another librarian. :)

Could you send me a link for the Sartons Award, showing that you won?

This is a requirement https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... (you don't need to worry about the link to the book, as long as you mean Not a poster child.

The Kirkus reviews things you mention aren't eligible for the award field. Anything entered there has to have a clear winner.

Francine (francineallen) | 2 comments Carol,

The following email notification, which I received on 3/29/19 is all I have; the 2019 awards are no longer on the Sarton website. They revamped their website and deleted all the old awards, as far as I can tell. All finalists are silver award, and my book was a memoir, so I got the silver/finalist for memoir in 2019 for my 2018 book.

I have the silver seals they sent me and can send you my graphic of that if that works for you. The award is also listed in my metadata by my publisher on Amazon; I do not have access to the metadata so it can only be updated by my publisher.

Dear Sarton Finalist:
We have just concluded this year's Sarton Women's Book Award competition. You will find the full list of winners and finalists on our website. Our public announcement will be made on Monday, April 1; please keep this confidential until then.
Congratulations on being a finalist in a competition that brought in many outstanding entries! Your award includes the following:
• The silver seals for your book cover will be mailed, with information about purchasing additional seals.
• You may pick up your digital seal here for use on your website. You may also have a use for these formats: jpg and pdf.
• You will be invited to submit a proposal to present a workshop at our 2020 SCN conference.
It is always extraordinarily difficult to make a selection among excellent books. In our view, everyone whose work reaches the final round of judging in this highly competitive program is a winner. Please accept our warmest congratulations and our very best wishes for success in all your writing efforts.

As long as this is ok with the moderator of this group, I'll be happy to enter this award for you.

It may take me a couple of days to get back to this because I have just started a project. :)
