Cassiopeia [ka-see-a-PEE-a] is a female name of Greek origin. The meaning of Cassiopeia is "she whose words excel". Cassiopeia is also a constellation in the northern sky placed there by Posiedon the Sea god as punishment for boasting. She was beautiful but vain. She absolutely despises her name because Cassy never wants to be thought of as vain. The name was chosen for her by her mother who knew of the legend but only focused on the meaning of the name when choosing it for her daughter.
Allena [aa-ley-na] is a feminine name of Celtic origin, though the name may originate from Greek Helen. The meaning of Allena is "fair; good-looking". The name was chosen by Cassy's mother because she her daughter had fair skin and she believed that her daughter would be beautiful, as well as just (and she is).
Evans [eh-vans] is a surname of English origin and has the meaning of "god has shown favor". The name was from Cassy's mothers parents and since Cassy's mother married a god she never changed her last name. (hide spoiler)]

█ ● Necromancy ● As a child of Hades Cassy holds absolute authority over the souls of the deceased. She has divine control over them so they must do as she wishes. Cassy also holds control over creatures native to the underworld, such as the Furies. Necromancy gives Cassy the ability to:
• Power Over the Undead • Cassy's power of Necromancy gives her the ability to reanimate skeletons, call forth waves upon waves of the dead to fight for her, as well as destroy Skeleton Warriors and deceased soldiers. This is an extremely powerful ability as it literately allows her to have an army anytime she wants. Though this power does not come without a price, as it is extremely draining of her energy if she uses the power for a long time.
• Releasing Souls • Cassy has the power to release the souls of those who should have died, of those who figured out how to cheat death.
• Telepathy with the Dead • Cassy can speak to the dead within her mind by giving off vibes that reflect what she wants them to do, such as a warning vibe that would warn a ghost to stay away.
• Sensitivity to Death • Cassy can senses death. She can sense whether it is coming and as it happens. A dull ringing in her ears happens when it is someone close to her who is dying or about to die. Cassy can also sense when a gods life is fading.
• Life Aura • Cassy can sense the life auras of others.
• Power Over Ghosts • Cassy is able to manipulate ghosts, either by forcing them to be silent with only a gesture or physically taking hold of them.
• Ghost Transformation • As the child of Hades Cassy has the ability to kill demigods, legacies, and mortals by turning them into ghosts and exiling them to the underworld for eternity.
█ ● Dark Pyrokinesis ● Or the manipulation of hellfire, this power is very threatening when misused as it is known to turn anything it touches into liquid. Unlike most children of Hades, Cassy has limited control over the black hellfire of the Underworld. This is a power that only Hades himself is known to possess and is extremely dangerous as the black fire is more destructive than even Greek fire. Though, Cassy does not have near the authority over hellfire that her father has.
█ ● Umbrakinesis ● Cassy holds the ability to manipulate the darkness and shadows in the world. She is highly adept at manipulating and changing shadows, and using Umbrakinesis in general, far beyond her year. Cassy is able to:
• Use the darkness to create a portal of sorts to travel from one place to the next, also referred to as Shadow travel, an ability that most children of Hades possess.
• Surround enemies in lightless space.
• Us the shadows to conceal herself in darkness and become vertically invisible.
• She can see through the darkness even while her enemies cannot.
• She can use the shadow energy to create an extremely strong and almost impenetrable barrier.
• She can heal minor injuries with the darkness, hers,ef and others.
• She can control and manipulate the being that exist there, create and construct weapons, as well a dispel and create shields and areas of total darkness
• She can dissipate and absorb the black energy.
█ ● Geokinesis ● Geokinesis is the physical or mental ability to manipulate/control the earth. Her use of Geokinesis is not as strong as that of Pluto's children, though it is plenty powerful as she can open large fissures, small landslides as well as rockslides, earthquakes and the ability to make rocks shoot up from the ground, as well as levitate them. Also, her manipulation of the Hellfire allows here to access the underworld and make flames shoot out of her fissures or in small volcanic eruptions.
█ ● Osteokinesis ● Cassy has the ability to summon a large number of bones to do her bidding. Cassy could initially only summon a few skulls and bones, but Cassy's powers have exponentially grown, to the point that she was able to summon hundreds of bones.
█ ● Cryokinesis ● When Cassy becomes anywhere near infuriated she begins to generate an aura of absolute cold, making the temperature around her drop to freezing and ice begins to crystallize. This power is limited for Cassy, not only because she is not as powerful as her father, but also because she has a somewhat warmer disposition than most children of Hades.
█ ● Inducement of Fear ● Cassy has the ability to induce and radiate extreme fear into others, though she does not relish the power and prefers not to use it. Although, she has been known to radiate the fear without meaning to do so.

█ ● Mystiokinesis ● Cassy has the ability to control a more natural form of energy, also known as Mystiokinesis or reality warping. Magic is a very complex and dangerous skill and few know how to use it. Cassy is very skilled at Mystiokinesis, as she was taught by Pasiphaë herself.

█ ● Manipulation of the Mist ● Manipulation of the mist is not the same as Mystiokinesis, as this power allows her to physically alter the form of something and/or disguise it as something else, or make it invisible completely. It is also used commonly to create illusions. Cassy is not nearly as skilled at this as Pasiphaë, though she is highly competent, and is able to create believable illusions.

Шελρσπs: Cassy uses a Grecian style Stygian iron sword. It is rather short, only two 3/4 ft long, though she is used to fighting close range and has no need for a long weapon. The grip is made of black leather and fits perfectly to her palm, the pommel is set with an glimmering onyx gem. The sword is sinister and beautiful, but deadly. Cassy's sword can shrink to a dagger at her will, the same look as her sword though only around a foot long. She prefers to use the dagger since she is not quite strong and prefers light weapons. Cassy can also make her blade light with Hellfire when she wants and the blade will not melt.

Fυll Ƥнψsιςλl Dεsςгιρτισπ: Cassy has highly attractive looks, which she gained from her mother and grandmother. She is quite capable of earning a certain amount of attention from men and women alike. She has striking red hair, that falls in beautifully fine, straight strands. She prefers to wear her hair in a mane to her mid back. It is usually somewhat wind blown looking in an appealing, wild way, as if she had spent her whole day in the forest. Cassy has a very pale complexion, due to the hair, that is spattered with a thick layer of light freckles. She has soft coffee brown eyes, they are so dark that the pupil is indiscernible from the iris itself and her eyes are shadowed by long, fine red eyelashes, matching the color of her hair. Her eyes have been known to burn black as coals when she is in a mood, which is very easily triggered. Cassy has slender red eyebrows usually arched in a sly and guarded fashion.
Cassy is of petite stature, only standing 5'3" and she is very light in weight, only around 109 pounds. She has little more than a pound of fat on her whole body, and is athletically fit, though not as strong as she would like. Cassy has a small and delicate frame, though she is anything but, and this only heightens her stealth and agileness. Cassy's body is also rather on the bony side, though when her skin is exposed, the muscle that she does have is very prominent and somewhat surprising, considering her stature and weight. Cassy is incredibly flexible with a thin and nimble body. She is always light footed and alert, with a cat-like finesse and when she moves she is close to noiseless, making her highly dangerous. Cassy has a narrow figure, with agreeable curves fitting her well, though she has somewhat small breasts which bothers her.

Dгεssιπɢ Ѕτψlε: Comfort is key for Cassy. She would rarely wear something that she was not comfortable in and she prefers to be able to bend and move in her clothes. Cassy will most commonly wear straight-legged, low rise jeans (typically faded, though this is from years of wear). She likes cotton and typically wears t-shirts (her CHB t-shirt and a variety of others) though they are usually tight fitting so as not to get in her way. Cassy wears grey and green Nike's when at Camp, though when on quests she prefers her sturdy brown leather boots. She almost always wears her hair down, though she has been known to wear it in a braid or pony tale as well.

*Subterranean Navigation: Hades is skilled in navigating under the earth, even before he became the Lord of the Underworld. Hence, Hades was able to lead his siblings in and out of Tartarus itself via a complex network of Underworld tunnels.
*Earthquake Generation: When Percy infuriates him in The Lightning Thief, Hades generates a massive earthquake that shakes his huge throne room, and is felt miles above him, in Los Angeles, devastating the city.

◘Ferrokinesis: As the God of Wealth, Hades can sense and summon precious metals and jewels from under the ground, as well as manipulate them.

◘Necromancy: As the God of the Dead and Ruler of the Underworld, Hades has divine authority and absolute control over the deceased.
*He can call forth endless waves of the dead to fight for him.
*He can destroy Skeleton Warriors.
*He can put the dead to sleep
*He can silence the dead with a gesture
*Power Over the Undead: Hades can reanimate skeletons, call forth endless waves of the dead to fight for him (with him even threatening to unleash a massive zombie apocalypse, destroy Skeleton Warriors, and put them to sleep. He can also silence dead souls with a gesture, and physically take hold of ghosts.
*Metamorphosis: He can capture and release living souls in a blast of yellow flames.
*Death Sense: As the God of the Dead, Hades can sense when a person is dying and when their soul is being judged in the Underworld. He can also sense people's life auras.
*Death Curses: Hades is able to place curses on the living. While he is unable to kill people before the Fates decree its time, he can prevent a person's soul from ever leaving their body, as he did with the Oracle. This will mean that a person's body will eventually turn to dust with age and their soul will be lost forever.

◘Monsters: Hades has absolute control over monsters native to his realm, such as the Hellhounds, Cerberus, and the Furies. Other Monsters can be sent out of the Underworld by Hades, but that does not always guarantee control over them.

◘Umbrakinesis: As the God of the Underworld, Hades has absolute control over shadows and darkness.
*He can surround enemies into pitch black clouds lightless space.
*He can shoot solid bolts of darkness.
*He can solidify shadows into shields, which are strong enough to deflect lightning bolts.
*Using shadows, Hades is able to travel anywhere he wants at very high speeds (Shadow Travel)
*He can use shadows to cover himself in darkness to become invisible.

◘Infernokinesis: Hades has absolute control over Black, Blue and Green hellfire, which is considerably more destructive than normal flames, as it turns whatever it touches to liquid.
◘Kólasi-Pyrokinesis The ability to control, the fires of the Underworld and summon and manipulate them causing more devastation than any normal flame turning targets into liquid instead of ash.

◘Induced Terror: With his Helm of Darkness, Hades can radiate death and terror so intense, that it can unhinge people's minds and stop their heartbeats. Kronos's entire army tried to flee from him, but they were more scared of Kronos than Hades. Also, the Helm allows Hades to become invisible.

◘Transfiguration: Hades was forced to turn the Oceanid Leuke into a poplar tree.
◘Shapeshifting: Hades is quite skilled at shapeshifting, though he hardly ever utilizes this ability. He has transformed into an eagle (while escaping from Kronos' palace on Mount Othrys) and a bat (while sneaking into Tartarus' maximum-security zone with his siblings).

◘ Darazkinesis: A powerful ability if used properly can take all energy and convert it into dark energy, Only Hades and Thanatos possess this power given it transfers Life energy into Death Energy. It is the rare ability to transform soul energy into dark energy. To some it is known as the touch of Death or Stare of Pain. Adolf Hitler was the last one known child of Hades to hold this power and he used it well once he had control the first World War had started. His touch takes away soul energy from anyone or anything living that his skin comes in contact with. Of course Hades has full control over his power and can touch whomever he like unless he wishes them dead. Anyone who is close enough to feel his breath instantly goes into shock and experiences large amounts of pain.

◘Hemokinesis: Blood user, He can heal and manipulate blood itself. Inside a living being or outside. He uses the blood in living beings to be some what of a puppet master. He can turn blood into weapons and heal himself and others using blood. This power is yet another rarity in the children of Hades. It is said to be a bad omen just as it is with a fire user...two beings around the same time era is really bad news.

◘ Serpent, Bat, and Owl Speech: as Hades holds both snakes and owls sacred to him he has the ability to communicate with snakes and Owls sometimes even summon them if there are any in the area. Bats are not nearly as sacred to him, however they will answer his call unless summoned by true darkness, Erebus.

◘ Resurgence: Reanimation of once living things. Classically, this term has been called Necromancy by some. However, this ability literally gives the breath of life to the dead giving their souls back. A child born with this power would not only be able to bring back the dead, but also be able to bring themselves back from the dead. Hades holds power over all souls of the living and dead and can easily take life and just as easily give it back, but it is considered a rarity for him to even consider giving a soul back, hence why so many heroes must venture into the Underworld and bring the dead back to the land of the living.

◘Osteokinesis: As the God of the Dead, Hades can summon and telekinetically to control numerous bones at once.

◘Cryokinesis (limited): When the God of the Dead appears , he tends to generate an aura of intense cold, which causes "frost to creep across the rocks and grass."

Μελπιπɢ Θғϑ Ƥσшεгs: As the Lord of the Underworld he possesses full strength and power from anything having to do with the earth or the dead.

The Bident of Doom - Forged as a true weapon for Hades after the great Titan War. Forged by the Cyclopes after the Titanomachy. A two pronged spear paled by the waters of the River Styx and made of Stygian Iron a metal of the Underworld. Carved from the bones of tortured souls that Hades himself has taken the pleasure in torturing. This, of course, is not Hades Weapon of Power. The Helm of Darkness - Crafted during the Titanomachy by the Elder Cyclopes for Hades to use as his true Weapon of Power. Like his spear it is also made of Stygian Iron given the ability to cause a mere mortal to become invisible but a god to wield the darkness of fear and grasp the power to move unseen among other immortals. As Hades true Symbol of Power and should it be stolen war could break out between the Olympians just as it would if Zeus' Master Bolt was Stolen or Poseidon's Trident. The Sword of Hades - Hades' Sword (also known as the Sword of Hades) is Hades' main weapon. It is made of Stygian Iron and contains one of the Keys of Hades. It was forged by Persephone in order to make her husband the strongest of the Big Three. The sword allows the wielder to send anyone to or from the Underworld with the lightest touch. Because Hades already has a symbol of power, the Helm of Darkness, the power of the sword could potentially tip the balance of power in Hades' favor over Zeus' Master Bolt or Poseidon's Trident. The sword is used only in battle as Hades sword upon the River Styx to never use his new weapon of power against the gods.

⬛ Necromancy - As a son of Hades, Costin has divine authority and control over the dead, as well as many monsters native to Hades' realm, such as the Furies.
⚫Power Over the Undead - He can reanimate skeletons, summon Skeleton Warriors, put them to sleep, and destroy them. Costin is able to permanently banish escapees to the Underworld. IHe is able to summon a large army of undead soldiers all by himself. It is unknown how much he power he can summon, but as a child of the big three it is a frightening amount. This is an extremely powerful ability as it literally allows him to have an army anytime he wants. However, summoning too many undead warriors at one time can cause him fatigue. When he is angered enough Costin can destroy even undead warriors that aren't under his control.
⚫Summoning Deceased Souls - Costin can summon souls of the deceased by digging a pit, filling it with food (though animal blood can also be used), and chanting in Ancient Greek.
⚫Releasing Souls - Costin can release the souls of people that should have died but had somehow managed to cheat death, such as Daedalus.
⚫Telepathy With The Dead - Costion can warn Lemures (angry spirits) to stay away from him, by giving off a warning vibe.
⚫Sensitivity to Death - He can sense death as it happens or when it is coming; when a person close to him dies, it comes as a ringing in the ears. In addition to that, he has a deep knowledge of the Underworld and knows when a person's life is being judged in the Underworld. Costin can also sense when an immortal is fading.
⚫Life Aura - He can sense someone's life aura.
⚫Power Over Ghosts - As his father is the Ghost King, Costin can physically manipulate ghosts, such as taking hold of them by hand or forcing them to be silent with a gesture.
⚫Ghost Transformation - Costin can kill mortals, demigods and legacies by turning them into ghosts, and forcing them into the Underworld for eternity. He has never actually accomplished this for himself, just yet, but may the god's show mercy to the ones whom must face it when he does.
⬛ Osteokinesis - Costin is able summon and telekinetic control over bones.
⬛ Death Trance - Costin can go into a hibernation called a Death Trance using the seeds of Persephone, which can only be eaten by a child of Hades. The Death Trance induces him to essentially die for a day, meaning he consumes no oxygen and doesn't need any kind of food (besides the seeds).
⬛ Cryokinesis (limited) - When Costin is infuriated, he generates an aura of intense cold, making the temperature around him drop to freezing, with the ground around him and the massive cairn turning white with frost. Naturally, his skin is icy cold to the touch.
⬛ Hypnokinesis - Costin can navigate through "the dark dreamscape" of dreams better than most other demigods (and is only surpassed by demigod children of Hypnos), since he claims that dreams and death are "old friends of his." Hence, Costin has a higher degree in control over his dreams and the ability to astral project his consciousness.
⬛ Fear Inducement - Costin radiates intense fear and death like his father, Hades, but to a much lesser degree. This aura can get so strong that monsters initially back away from him. Ƥεгsσπλlιτψ: Costin is an odd one from how he has moodswings but it's understandable. He is usually a sarcastic and genuinely funny guy. He likes to joke around and have fun like any normal teenager. He's a natural gamer and will spend time in front of any game system. Although Costin isn't shy or timid he usually stays away from people and likes his privicy.
This is just one side of him and the other isn't as nice. Being reserved helps him keep himself in check. Costin can't stand being touched and when he is he absorbs negative emotions like anger and hatred. This is the things that make him snap and cause him to be what people like to call a punk. Its never a good thing for even his closest friends.
Costin becomes outspoke, rude, cruel and sometimes violent. It terrible for him to no longer be the nerdy nice guy he usually and it fills him with much regert when he knows he's hurt someone that he hadn't meant to. Another thing about Costin is that he keeps his heart locked away as he is afriad of only feeling negative around the person he loves.

Hιsτσгψ: Costin was born in Brasov, Romania or what other like to call in Transylvania. His mother, Stela Bălan had been seeing Hades for a month before having Costin. Stela was a tour guide for many Americian tourist coming in to see Transylvanian hotspots. The reasom behind his name is because he was born a happy baby and to Stela he's precious.
Growing up with his father, Costin had struggles and eventually his mother moved them to America. Being only five he didn't understand why the move but he dealt relativly fine. Stela on the other hand was chasing down the love she lost and was looking everywhere for it. She had several boyfriends as young Costin grew older. It wasn't until he was thirteen that he had gotten a younger sibling.
Though the time before Diana was born, Costin had ran into trouble with several monsters. They only ever have messed with him once as they found out how much rage a young demigod boy held when they touched him. Costin had grown close to his sister but it was because as a young baby she never held anger or anything that effected him when he held her. His mother's boyfriend though was a different story, the man hated him. Costin had no idea why but the motral just never liked him.
Eventaully getting into a fight with the guy, Stela made him hit the road as she cared for her son. Within the year she already had a new man and Costin was just tired of it. At fifteen he ran off hoping to get ahold of his grandparents back in Romania but was stopped before he had the chance. Costin had been gone three months looking for enough cash to get a plane ticket when Iris had found him. Iris was sent from his great grandmother Styx to make sure he was okay and get him to Camp Half-Blood before he done something stupid.
Getting to camp was easy but he had been escorted there by a goddess. When he was claimed it surprised him as he learned about his family's history. Sometimes he goes down to the Underworld for a few weeks to spend time with his father and Styx. He was actually glad to learn who he was and he had gotten better handles on his powers. The Ares' kid never seemed to like Costin for reasons he has no clue about.
In the recent year and half he's been in several fights all of which haven't been started by him. The Ares' children seemed to build up a lot of anger and it truly disturbs him emotionally. Costin has gone to both anger management and therapy and they didn't end well. Most of the time he usually gets touched by another person and it's downhill from there.

Lamia has been described dozens of ways throughout the years, but throughout all the descriptions one important part stays the same: Her rage. She is still completely and utterly furious that her children were taken from her. It may have been centuries ago but being unable to get the image out of her head, for Lamia it might as well have been yesterday. She hates Hera with a buring passion for what the goddess made her do, and if the opportunity to make her pay presents itself, there's no question that Lamia would take it.

But anger isn't her only emotion. Her children were her world, and they were ripped from her. Lamia, despite constantly lashing out, is incredibly sad. It's as constant as her anger: the grief she feels over what happened to her kids. It haunts her, causing as much sorrow as it does fury. And that sorrow is what gives the other gods hope about her. As long as she feels sad her kids were gone, there's still humanity in there. She's very much a monster, but that sadness keeps her just human enough they pity rather than hate her.

None of the gods know what to do with a woman who eats children almost obsessively. But she can still carry on a normal conversation, and she was one of the rare few among Zeus's favorites, given that he visited her more than once. After all, almost no one likes Hera. Them trying to help Lamia is half for her sake, and at least partially to stick it to Hera, try and help someone she hates. Luckily, Lamia has nothing against the gods. They've only helped her. But she hates almost any and all goddesses.

Unfortunately, Lamia tries to solve her own problems. She's grown so lonely that she'll sleep with almost anyone, just wanting to have her own children once again. She knows logically that she's physically unable to have kids anymore, but she has to try. Perhaps unsurprisingly her rage carries over onto her partners, and she typically ends up eating them. Despite her reptilian appearance, Lamia actually hates snakes. People associate her with them all the time, and that pisses her off more than almost anything.

When she gets focussed on something, it can be almost impossible to shake that concentration. She's actually incredibly clever, which is rarely seen. The easiest way to break her focus is with bright, flashing lights, since she can't blink they irritate her eyes. She has unexplained gaps of sanity, from moments to years of seeming normalcy no one can explain, No one, even her, knows why they occur, or what triggers her back to her normal state. However, they know that pain or intense anger triggers her more feral side and try and avoid that.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Lamia is completely insane. That much is obvious. She's so overcome by her grief and rage, she can focus on nothing but that. At this point she's obsessed with getting her vengeance on anyone and everyone she feels the need to. But she can get intensely focussed on just one thing, and it can be easy to capture or injure her when she's so focussed.

Hιsτσгψ:
The gods are known for their affairs with mortals, and even though Zeus is the main one Poseidon has been involved with mortals before as well. He saw a woman named Libye on the beach and of course Poseidon quickly became infatuated with the princess. They ended up sleeping together, and she gave birth to two children, twin boys Belus and Agenor. But Libye was no human. She was a daughter of Hecate, and now that she knew of the gods she was able to tap into that. She used her magic to claw her way to the top of a kingdom, becoming a queen of a whole nation she named after herself, Libya. Poseidon visited her again, and once again she gave birth to twins: Lelex and a girl, Lamia.

The kids may have grown up without a present father, but they still grew up well. None of the children were stupid and all were considered worthy to lead as they got old enough, but Lamia was the most clever of the group. She may not have been able to beat her brothers in wrestling, but she could beat them in chess or any strategy game any day of the week. She was fortunate enough to have family that cared about their family more than power, and her brothers were simply proud of their sister. When Libye died, Belus became king, as he was the eldest. But Libya was in a strategic position, and one by one the boys who became king were killed.

But Lamia was finally queen, and she was no fool. She knew that if she played this right she could remain alive and queen, and the first thing she did was pray. She made offerings to her father Poseidon as well as her grandmother Hecate. Both of them answered the prayers of a queen, and in no time Lamia was powerful enough that she could singlehandedly take down any attacks from other countries. Luckily for her people Lamia had no desire to be a tyrant, and she simply kept them safe.

But Zeus grew curious about this mortal woman that his brother had blessed and visited her. In a completely unsurprising turn of events he ended up sleeping with her, and she gave birth to a child. But in a new thing, Zeus visited her again. They had a total of three flings and three children, as he found he actually liked the fierce queen. But of course, all good things must come to an end. Hera discovered where her husband had been going which wasn't a surprise, but she was furious that he had dared to go back to someone more than once.

As expected, Hera went after Lamia and her children. But this was a queen blessed by two or three gods, and she was determined to not let herself get pushed around. She did her best to defend herself and her children, but of course she stood no chance against the queen of the gods. Now Hera was furious that Lamia had not only slept with Zeus but had dared to challenge her, Hera decided just a death or a curse was too good for the queen.

Lamia was forced to eat her own children, to the horror of even the other gods. Still, not even they were going to challenge Hera. When she was satisfied that Lamia was sufficiently punished Hera just left Lamia, completely ignoring her. She was completely destroyed. Her children were entire world, and now they were dead. Because of her. And she had eaten them. What she had done completely drove her over the edge into her grief and rage.

She knew she could never actually get to Hera herself, so Lamia started hunting down any children the goddess showed favor to, eating them to complete the poetic justice. Hera was furious and once again lashed out at Lamia, this time cursing her physically. The the once proud queen of a nation was reduced to a mad snake woman, never able to close her eyes so she would always seen her dead children.

Lamia started going a step farther, eating children of anyone she could, whether they were mortal, demigod, it didn't matter. Zeus couldn't directly counter Hera's curse but he could offer her some solace, giving Lamia the ability to remove her eyes so she would at least have some respite from the images that tortured her constantly as well as the ability to return to her original form if she wanted to. He also gave her the gift of prophecy, with the hope that maybe a new focus would help distract her from the fate of her children. It didn't work. She just kept on with her viciousness, devouring children whenever and wherever she could.

She raged and rampaged for a few hundred years, but humanity was getting more and more civilized. The other monsters didn't have her cleverness or her viciousness, so it was decided that she was too dangerous to let her continue to kill and eat them. The gods ended up capturing Lamia, but they didn't have the heart to destroy her like that had Kronus. After all, she wasn't actively trying to destroy any of the gods, except maybe Hera. She was just another victim of the queen of the gods gone mad.

Gods like Dionysus and Apollo visited her frequently, trying to help cure the madness. But neither of them could counter a curse from Hera. She was clever, however, and escaped frequently. Every single time she just wreaked more havoc until they captured her again, just proving that there was no way that she could be allowed around mortals.

Lamia had nothing against the gods, just Hera, but she grew more and more irate at them for keeping her locked up. They started having to keep it more quiet so Hera wouldn't find out they were actually trying to help someone she cursed, but Lamia was having none of that. They had to keep her in worse and worse cages, and she ended up imprisoned with Titans and other creatures frequently. But Lamia had no issues with eating other species's children and of course she was hated by all of them, having eaten titan children as well.

She angered enough people that they literally had to put her in solitary confinement in Tartarus, but with her cleverness at escaping and the titan's viciousness, she was quickly removed from that as well. Currently her prison is a single solitary cell tucked in an unknown corner of the Underworld. Not many gods know where she is at the moment. Hades does, as it is his realm, Poseidon knows the location of his daughter, Zeus knows where his former love was, and Dionysus and Apollo both know due to their visits to try and cure her of her madness. It's suspected that Ker, Phonus, and Thanatos know her location as well given their close ties to death and the amount of it she's caused, but there's no confirmation.

Ƥεгsσπλlιτψ: Nera, unlike a lot of her siblings, is not the most outgoing person. It might be due to the way she's grown up, told not to be so open with others and the constant teasing she had to endure. She's not much of a talker. She's the quiet girl that glides into the room. She calls attention, but not enough to make someone want to be bothered with her. She's quite alright with that, though. It's much better than having someone make comments that you don't like. However, many people see this as her being timid. Perhaps it is, this need to shy from the sight of most people. She might agree with them, if it weren't for the fact that she doesn't fear interaction. Talking to people doesn't exactly bring the greatest results.

It's been noted that Nera is incredibly paranoid. Maybe it's the fact that she's still listed as missing and probably a fugitive of some kind. Maybe it's the fact that she was raised in a fairly paranoid environment. Her mother's occupation tended to involve them moving frequently, as to not get caught. She spent most of the day looking over her shoulder to be sure she wasn't being tailed by someone in a suit or a uniform. Sometimes they were, sometimes they weren't. With that in mind, Nera has continued to project the fear that she might look over her shoulder one day and see another uniform waiting to haul her away. And of course, her loyalty will always play a big role in her paranoia. Her thoughts are never selfish that she fears only for herself to be taken away, but to be taken away because of something her friends might have done. That she would be forced into an interrogation room again and made to spill untruths. It hurts to even think about, even if she lied. Because her telling the truth or lying could sway a decision in favor or against someone.

Like most children of Ares, Nera has a temper. A really bad one. She's aware that her fists are not the only thing to use as a comeback, but it's kind of hard to think straight when all you see is red. While she lived among normal mortals, she'd often spent time in a counselor's office for her anger. Misguided retaliations would also land her in the principle's office. But to combat that temper is her fear of it. She's scared of going too far and doing more than giving someone a concussion.

Hιsτσгψ: Nera's mother was not a soldier, like most lovers of Ares. She was a warrior behind the scenes, a silent player. Silent only in that her name was not on any commendation, no awards were given. But people knew her work. They knew her by the splatter and the gore, and the passion she poured into her work. Vylette Monerstatt was a world renowned black market hitwoman. Anyone who had any knowledge of the system of what lurked beneath would know of her. Of course, they would know her only as Red, but still. Perhaps the passion by which she did her work was what drew Ares to her.

Their union stretched towards that year marker, and at the cusp of it, Vylette announced her pregnancy. There was no grand fanfare, just business as usual. The two parted ways and Vy got back to work. As she found herself becoming increasingly incapacitated by the child she would bear, she fell into the recesses of society once more. Her name, already wiped from most systems, popped up as shew went into labor. The child was born and off to work she went again.

Nera grew up surrounded by weapons. Her ability to use them came as just the tiniest of surprises to her mother. Vy had always had a feeling that Ares had been more than just a man. So while she watched her daughter play with knives, she cleaned her guns and smiled. They went on like this as Nera grew older ( Nera-Simone, her mother loved the hyphenation and she'd joked about it before with Ares ), but trouble arose as the girl's powers began to surface.

Children are cruel creatures in their own right. They may not intend it, or maybe they do, but they can break people with their seemingly harmless words. These same children can grow to destroy others, which Nera could certainly agree with. They're most terrifying as they hit those years of puberty. Already beginning to fill in the frame she inherited from her mother, Nera was the subject of those "harmless" words.

Girls have a special kind of cruelty that she was not equipped to deal with. All of Vy's teachings came with the implication that her aggressors would be direct. These girls were not, sly in their torture. All it took was a moment, a pointed remark. Nera was sent to the principal of her current school for throwing a desk. Through a wall. The taunting worsened when she returned from her suspension.

Boys made it a game to see who could get close to the girl with the freak strength. They thought it would prove their manhood, or well be a way to do so other than the common methods. And try they did, until she sent one to the hospital with a concussion. She hadn't meant to hit him so hard; it was going to just be a slap for his gross comments about the body she was still uncomfortable with.

As her mother began to become more concerned with these developments, it should also be noted that Vy was on several watch lists. All the attention set on her daughter also sent attention her way. So, she packed them up and hopped on a plane. From Germany they went to Belgium for a short few months. It was around her sixteenth birthday that Vylette sat Nera down for a talk, the talk. Obviously, Nera didn't believe a word her mother said. The two had their first true argument that night, and the subject was left alone.

But Nera's interest was piqued. She started looking into mythology, attempting to envision herself as part of it. The most she likely inherited from her imaginary father, in her opinion, was his explosive anger. She soon found that there was a lot more to it.

The following year, her mother was caught. Just as was feared, her daughters complications had followed them as they bounced from country to country. Nera, still a minor for two more days in the eyes of the US government, was released into the care of a halfway house. The places was, to be frank, a breeding ground for more trouble. It was similar to jail sentence her mother had received. Her eighteenth birthday came and went with her fending off potential threats as best she could. Two months into her stay, she received a letter from her mother--a little late on the part of those working at the prison, because it'd been written the week after Nera had been placed in the house--telling her of Camp Half-blood. Telling her that she should go there.

The greatest obstacle to this, of course, was getting out. The house was similar to a prison, with its precautionary barred windows. All that took was a simple push and she was free. Well, partly so. It took her three days to persuade several of the girls to help her, and twenty minutes to get her through the window. Her first jailbreak, and the only thing that stopped her was a window.

She promptly made her way to Camp Half-blood, separating from her momentary comrades.

Of course not nearly as powerful as his father, but Jace's aura is rather powerful causing such longing people around him can become depressed usually having no clue what it is that they long for or feel missing in their lives.
*Desire Manipulation - Pothos and Jace can sense and manipulate the desires of themselves, people, animals and other creatures, whether by increasing, decreasing, causing or otherwise channelling desire, even manifesting the emotional energy to physical level. These desires can include Love, attraction, adoration, addictions and hopes and plans for the future. It usually reflects as a noticeable missing emotion in the victims of this ability leaving them feeling almost empty without what they desire and not ever fully whole.
*Obedience of The Longing Dead - Pothos often having been represented as a minor love god and a minor god of death was most often represented at funerals. The mortal souls of the dead, who died from whatever means caused longing and desire for something/someone they could never have, are loyal to him and can be summoned forth by him. Jace is able to speak with souls who still feel they have unfinished business on the earthly world. He can feel their longing to return to the living and sometimes he can feel the livings longing to be dead or with the dead.
*Charm-Touch - Jace is able to induce longing desires in others and even get secrets out of his victims with a single touch. Such a touch is truly the effects of physical desire being pushed upon someone glamouring their minds with happy thoughts and the desire to speak and do as the one who touches them and uses such a gift desires them to do so.

*Pyrokinesis - Hephaestus rarely hands out the gift of flames to any of his own children, but it seemed more than amusing to him to see the uncontrolled damages that a grandchild of his wife, Aphrodite might cause should he procreate. The child of Pothos was an excellent candidate. He was pathetically sad as it was in the eyes of the gods and with uncontrolled emotions he would leave the entire lot of Aphrodite's brood with a bad name. This power held no blessing for the future, but simply the promise of a curse.
**Fire Immunity/Lack There Of - Hephaestus is vengeful toward Jace and his family of love gods, but he would not give the boy power over the flame without some form of protection from himself. However, Hephaestus overlooked this fact and any sort of a heart he held for human life. This is not a gift or a power. Anytime Jace uses his ability overfire whether of his own accord or not he is burned badly.
*Technokinesis: Hephaestus is vengeful toward Aphrodite and saw one of his own legacies as the perfect payback. However, giving him a power he will never learn to control made the fire god feel a bit merciful to other abilities making him not totally useless in order to keep a good name for himself, at least. Jace has amazing mechanical abilities (even for a simplistic Legacy of Hephaestus); Much like Leo Valdez was able to he can manipulate a megaphone to say "The cow says moo" in a low voice like Darth Vader's and build a working helicopter out of pipe cleaners. He could build anything he put his mind to building. Hephaestus blessed him in such a field to know that he wasn't personally hated by the god simply a pawn to be used by the gods. Unfortunately, this was an attribute which pushed him to go against the Olympians.

*Building Skills: While stripped of his godhood and powers, after the attempt to overthrow his brother, Zeus, Poseidon constructed the famous Walls of Troy, which were extremely durable, and kept the Greek forces (which Poseidon, ironically, supported) at bay for 10 long years. This attribute of making great structures to withstand the greatest of armies was handed down to Jace. Jace is capable of using this ability the same way children of Hephaestus are able to construct mechanisms. If Jace were ever to build a monument it would take him three times less the amount of materials and time it would take an entire crew of construction workers. Not to mention his structures would stand the test of time. Anything he chooses to build from sand castles to real castles.
*Shapeshifting - Poseidon rarely hands this gift out so freely, but when he does it sparks a number of unique generations. Jace is capable of turning into almost any animal he can imagine up in his head. This can be seen as a mercy plea from the sea god knowing the misery he would face in his life Poseidon took pity on his mortal legacy and granted him with the rare gift to change his form into animals. Knowing very well that any child after Jace born of his blood would also carry such a trait. (hide spoiler)]

*Soothing Touch - Epione knows Pothos to be a friend to Peitho whom she takes credit for giving birth to her child so as that Hygeia will not be discovered by Hera and cursed like the rest of Peitho's offspring. With this gift Epione has granted Jace the power to sooth the emotional, physical, and spiritual pain of others. He can take the pain away with a single touch. Jace is unable to heal fatal wounds with abilities, but he can make passing gentle so the spirits might be taken by Thanatos who is more kind to souls rather than Ker.
*Medical Intuition - Epione as a wife of Asclepius holds the gift of understanding individuals medical condition and better how to treat it. Jace also shares this ability knowing the best way to treat injuries and so forth. He is connected to soothing pains and healing those who are in pain.

*Healing Hand/ Healer's Grasp - Jace is not the sort to heal someone and go about the rest of his day without being entirely drained. Healer's Grasp is the same ability that allowed Asclepius to bring the dead back to life. Healing minor cuts and scrapes are nothing, but to be so close to death and be restored would mean the death would simply need to be moved. Jace must transfer the death of one living being into another whether it be plants, animals, people, or anything living. A valuable lesson to learn is every life has a price. Jace can also use this gift on himself. When Hephaestus cursed him with the fires and to be burned by them, Epione took it upon herself to allow Jace to recover and heal his wounds so that even when pain is there when he uses the power of fire he will be soothed soon after. *Cryokinesis - Just as fire burns in him from Hephaestus a dark coldness freezes within Jace. This coldness has become a darkness set down from generations ago. Khione, the traitor of mortals and Olympians blessed one of her few Descendants with her power over the cold and ice. She held such distaste for the flames that would burn from him she wanted the ice that she granted Jace to freeze the inferno and create a vast wasteland of bitter ice. Jace's only downfall is that like his control over the fire he holds little mastery over the ice. (hide spoiler)]

*Deception's Hiss - Jace is capable of deceiving nearly anyone who is unable to see past his shroud. He can mislead others and confuse them into trusting him. *Deceit Intuition/Lie detection - Jace is able to see through illusions of the Mist and capable of catching anyone red handed in a lie.
*Illusion/Mist Manipulation - Jace is dark and has learned to see through any trickery the Mist has to offer. His family has been blessed and cursed so much that the latest offspring has become a twist of contradicting sides in fate.
