How do you guys rate/review books

I think I don't really know how to review books since mine aren't in-depth like some reviews are. So I'm wondering, how do the rest of ya'll review books?

You don't need to do much to review a book. You can just say something like: I really enjoy this story and it kept me reading. I loved character xxxx. He/she was my favourite.
That can be enough.

I agree with Lynne here: there's no "proper length" for a book review. If you are really committed to making a big review though, just focus on the highs and lows of the book for you, and what parts of the story (plot or writing style) made you enjoy it or not.
