I think I love it. Poppy is one of those characters I don't find a lot in rom-coms these days. She's someone who's got everything she wants, she is hardworking, funny, easy going.. and that's an awesome break from all the depressed heroines (not that they are all bad but just overused). I like the side characters as well.. esp. Rachel. She's well built. Alex.. now the kind of friendship these two polar opposite personalities hold is something I would cry for. Things can be so realistic because of the "break" in their friendship. What do you think happened on the Vacation to Croatia?
I can guess.. only guess.. bad guess probably because it's a romance that too contemporary. Maybe Alex developed feelings or something and none of them could handle it well? I am too unsure, it's still to early.. but I am up for the coming vacation!!

The reunion made me cry.. almost cry. Isn't the writer amazing? I am swooning over Alex all over again just because of the description although my imagination is always just wary of the characters.
Now.. the constant reminder of how easy it used to be and how awkward and lifeless it's come to be is really sad. I hoooope it goes away soon. I know I know it won't be that easy, friendship breaks are HARD, but a girl could dream.

God this is awkward, funny, amazing, i-am-soooo-glum, can-this-never-stop, can-this-fuckin-stop all at the same time. And oh is the tension between them killing me!? Till now the current vacation is nothing I thought it would be.. it's complete chaos and I am on the verge of crying if the then Alex and Poppy aren't back.
Also, Now I am damn sure it has to be drunk shit they did on Croatia trip and probably the next day Poppy fled or something when she realised what happened.. still can't be sure about the whole thing but they had sex or made out that's my bet

Oh my God. I am getting depressed. You must probably are having a lot of fun compared to me, and my misery is the damn humidity in Delhi and lack of air conditioning! I can literally feel how hot it's for them.. and believe me when I say.. you don't want to feel that. They kissed. I am happy.. I want to be giddy and screaming and grinning like a hanger is stuck in my mouth or something but heat's getting me nowhere I am so sorry.. I am ruining my experience for both of us.. but all I want right now is to skinny dip in Atlantic or something.. and this fuckin' prickling itchiness all over my body to stop!!!

I'm already in love with this book, writing, and characters. I was so nervous to read this one because Beach Read was one of my favorites from last year, and I didn't know if this would hold up to that one, but I already love this!!!

I'm enjoying the alternating timelines quite a bit, and I love seeing how amazing their friendship was during college. I really enjoy how different they each are. I like an opposites attract trope!

I'm VERY nervous about what caused their big fight. I really hope it wasn't something so bad that I have a hard time forgiving or getting over it for the characters. With their friendship being SO ADORABLE, I'm really worried it's something really big (and TERRIBLE) that broke them up.

Finished- (view spoiler)[ WOW! I loved this. I'm so happy everything worked out for them, and I'm also glad the book addressed them talking to someone about issues that need to be addressed. That they both were getting some counseling after they got back. I liked that part.

I can see why Alex was upset about thinking he was just a "fling" for Poppy while she figures things out, but I never thought she was doing that to him...maybe because we heard her point of view the entire time. He could have given her like 30 seconds to explain, but I get it...
