K. Blake (ksblake) | 1 comments Update - I've found enough readers. Thank you.

I'm an established author working on a new pen name. I'm looking for someone to swap short stories, novelette, and novella chapters for Beta Reading.

I write Epic Fantasy and Sword & Sorcery under this pen name, and want to work with someone in the same genres.

Comment if interested.
Thank you.

KS Blake

Danielle Rose | 13 comments I am writing an epic fantasy book set in the Stone Age, involving deities and fantasy races. I've read extensively within the Epic Fantasy genre so I'd be a good beta for you.

I'm very happy to swap if you're willing to read a few of my chapters. Short stories and novelettes wouldn't be an equal workload to a full-length fantasy book, but perhaps you could give me feedback on the first few chapters.

Many thanks,
Danielle

Gloria | 31 comments Hi Danielle,
I am writing a medieval fantasy YA fiction story. My story only has around 8000 words, with no chapters and not even a title. I'm happy to swap and read a few of your chapters with either of you. If not, I completely understand. I am not a experienced writer, though I feel I'm pretty good at it.
Thanks,
Gloria

Gloria | 31 comments Thank you for the update, KS Blake.
Danielle, would you still like to trade stories? Though, if I am to read yours, it must be YA or appropriate for teenagers. Thanks,
Gloria

Robert Brown | 78 comments Hi, KS Blake-
I am looking for readers/swaps for "The Horse with No Name,” an adult sword-and-world fantasy (science fiction elements), complete at 150k words. I don’t have an agent and will pursue traditional publishing. The manuscript features NA characters but is written for an adult audience; there’s fight action more than bloody violence and some on-page nudity but otherwise only off-page “romance."

A brief blurb: Ben Reyes is foraging in the jungles of Paraise when he comes across a lost horse carrying a map. If translated right by his sister Marrie, fresh from college where she studies the arcane, the map leads to long-buried arcane power. Before Ben can think about it, he and the wizard-in-training are sailing into the wilds with a smith’s apprentice (his friend) and a rogue smuggler (her friend), chased by thugs employed by an organized crime lord. The first of a trilogy in which Ben and his friends, at the behest of a local deity, help humanity reclaim their place in the stars.

I would be happy to read your 8k in exchange a review/critique of my opening chapters. Please let me know: tonchyaku@gmail.com.
