It was okay, didn't like it much. Or I just probably read it in the wrong time..."
I was completely disillusioned with the idea that the Taliban would actually NOT hunt him down while still in Afghanistan...though I guess it is possible.

Lynn, Pierre and Luce is available in the U.S. for free from Amazon.
I finished Seventeenth Summer and added it for "A book whose first letter of the title appears in DAVY JONES' LOCKER." Only one left in "Schooners."
I finished Read and Gone by Allison Brook I added it Galleons: the title Pirates of the Caribbean. The column on the planning tab just needs to be moved over and on the Galleons can someone take off the italics on the authors name. I could not figure out how to just get the italics on the title from my Ipad. I still have some page numbers to update from the past few days that I will get to tomorrow.

Updated on the ss. :)
Hey all! I just finished A Star Rising for the prompt " A book with a mostly blue cover.". I was pleasantly surprised by this book.
So it looks like a long book (500+ pages) will be one we may not be able to do, any of you super fast readers want to take on that challenge?
Kathy wrote: "I'm on p 138 of the 589 page novel The Fire Blossom - 23% read today, so hopefully???"Yes!!!
I just remembered I have 6 hours left of Dawn on a Distant Shore by Sara Donati and the default version lists it at 672 pages so I should finish that by Friday.I have fast read left to finish tonight and then the next book in the series. They are marked as around ~200 pages but they only take a few hours to read.
I'm finally home so I will be able to update and check in more.
I am halfway through (372 out of 748) Brisingr and I am not done reading today. I will for sure have it finished by Friday.
Good evening all....This week has turned into a bear of a week at work (last weeks of school always do) and I have not done as much reading as I would like. That being said, I did finish
and put in the Water on the cover prompt. There is rain on the window. Please move if you think of somewhere else it should go. I am starting The Fallentonight and will see if I can finish tomorrow...maybe on Friday.
I have not read as much as I thought either. Unfortunately my friend's husband passed away. So sad.I'm still trying to complete Horns
I'm sorry to hear that Joan.Kellie Lyn I hear you, I'm not a teacher but my husband is, and one of my kids is graduating tomorrow.
I will finish Malibu Rising today, and will get some audio time in when I walk the dogs to escape from my sister-in-law who arrives today, but I'm not sure I'll finish One Two Three as I have 8 hours left. We have 4 graduation parties this weekend! Well 5 but I don't think we're going to one.
I highly recommend both of those books, by the way.
Kendra wrote: "Lynn wrote: "Kendra wrote: "Well I finished 1 book today: Lawbreaking Ladies: 50 Tales of Daring, Defiant, and Dangerous Women from History. It actually had a whole section on pirat..."That makes sense.

Lynn, Pierre and Luce is available in the U.S. for free from Amazon."
Is that in ebook form? On Kindle?
Kathy wrote: "I'm on p 138 of the 589 page novel The Fire Blossom - 23% read today, so hopefully???"That would be amazing!

I would say you are obviously needed to help your friend through this grieving and adjusting time... I am so sorry for their loss.

I am anxious to read Malibu Rising! Can't imagine I wouldn't enjoy whatever Reid writes!

I am sorry for you loss. Take the time you need to grieve.
It looks as if we made need another book with a weapon on the cover. I'll check at home tonight since I LOVE mysteries and have plenty of them sitting at home! 😁Updated: What was I thinking? The cover of
Artificial Condition has this armed spaceship on it! Weapons!!! :)

Lynn,
Yes it is an ebook for Kindle which I downloaded to my Kindle app from Amazon.
Lynn wrote: "It looks as if we made need another book with a weapon on the cover. I'll check at home tonight since I LOVE mysteries and have plenty of them sitting at home! 😁"Lynn,
I'll be finishing Unlit sometime this week, and there is a weapon on the cover.
You're welcome to read a book with a weapon on the cover and I'll use the book for another prompt but we have that prompt covered if you can't find the right cover
Hey all. I will have definitely finished Brisingr by the end of today. My intention was to place it in the "Long Book" category. However, I noticed there are others who are working on finishing a longer book. My book will fit other places. For those of you working on a long book...would it be better to put it as a long book or add it somewhere else? (There is also a possibility if we get two long books that we could try for a second galleon.) Thoughts?

I’d say put it in for a long book. I’m not sure if I really will get either of my possible ones done.
I'd say long book also, Deborah. I'll probably finish the long book I'm working, The Fire Blossom, late tomorrow or Saturday.
Thank you everyone. It's just so sad they have a 16, 13 and 3 year old. He was pretty special to our community as well. He was only 41.I'm definitely close to finishing Horns. It's supposed to rain this weekend so I'll probably get a lot of reading in this weekend.
I finished The Future of Us by Jay Asher. I did not realize it had to go back to the library toda. I needed it for a couple prompts, so I got it in quickly. I put it in as a book about friends. I hope to finish The Fallen by Saturday.
I just finished The Guardian. I will put it as author's initials appear in PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN. I will try to finish my other book tomorrow. Hoping to finish two more books by the end of the month.
I just finished Brisingr and put it down as a Long Book. After a break, I will start something new. I hope to get a few more shorter books in before the end of the month.
I just finished Artificial Condition. I know Lynn was going to read it too, but it finally came into my library account after I've been waiting almost a month for it. I used it for the book told in first person prompt.

I don't do ebooks and I do not have a Kindle. But thank you for the information! :)

I'll be finishing Unlit sometime this week, and there is a weapon on the cover. Unlit (Kingdoms of Earth & Air, #1) by Keri Arthur

Cool! I'm planning to read Artificial Condition this weekend anyway. I'd say whichever of us finishes first can use it for the weapon on the cover. I'm sure both books can easily fit other categories..

I agree with Kendra...

Lynn wrote: "Kendra wrote: "I just finished Artificial Condition. I know Lynn was going to read it too, but it finally came into my library account after I've been waiting almost a month for it...."Well, it was a reread. I loved it just as much the second time around.
And I just finishedExit Strategy which is book 4 in The Murderbot Diaries. I used it for the short book, so we now have 2 sloops.

I was a little disappointed with it. It was interesting, but it was a little light on the details - I would have preferred to have only 25 tales and more details about those 25.
