Do I only need to read the first book in S&B or can I just go to SoC??? Because tbh Siege and Storm is a bit boring....

I think you can go straight into SoC since you've already been introduced into the Grisha world, you'll just get new characters. But I haven't read Shadow and Bone so IDK LOL

Okay. Thanks!
Okay. Thanks!
ok so personally I read six of crows first, beacause tbh it doesn't make a lot of difference. Yes shadow and bone took place before six of crows, so if you want to read it forst its your choice:)also friendly advice, the first first chp of six of crows confused the shit out of me, and I didn't read the book because of that for months,
so to everyone that is planning to read SoC, the 1st chapter is... idk what it is, so either skip it, or read it and just ignore it cuz I'm pretty sure leigh was high while writing it :')
I read SoC first and loved it, but then went back to SaB and . . . Didn't love it. To be honest, I'm not sure I would've kept reading in the Grishaverse if SaB had been my introduction to it, so my vote goes to SoC first.
I think you can chose what you want, and that it really doesn't matter, because Six of crows (which i read first) you don't really talk about shadow and bone (except a few parts) but i don't think any of those parts spoil anything.
i mean its fine either way, but reading SaB would be better just because there are some spoilers, and it explains the whole gishaverse a little better.
I recommend reading the SoC duology first because I think it makes you want to be a part of the Grishaverse more. (i.e. you are more likely to read the other books, that's what I did. I think I definitely wouldn't have wanted to read SoC as much if I had read s&b first.) You don't actually need to read s&b before reading SoC, there are no spoilers for s&b in the duology. (Only some things Leigh wants you to think, but, also, the first time I read SoC and CK i didn't even notice the "spoilers" lmao.) Also, you don't need to read s&b first to understand the Grishaverse more, Ketterdam (where SoC takes place) is not really spoken about at all in s&b so it doesn't really help you understand the world more. (Especially because the vibe or SoC is SO different from the vibe of s&b.) The only thing you might be confused about is stuff about the Grisha, but again, they aren't that important to SoC so... it really just depends on what you think sounds more interesting. But my vote is to read SoC first, it was way better than s&b in my opinion.

Leigh said that there aren't actually any spoilers in SoC, they are just things Leigh wants you to believe are spoilers, even though they aren't.
Shadow and bone, its really good and I am not done with it but its really really amaizing. You feel like your in the book

A+ for this essay LOL!!!! I didn't particularly enjoy SoC or CK as much as I wanted to, should I still ready the trilogy?

No!!!!! The trilogy is way worse! I had to DNF midway through the second book because it’s soooooooo bad!!!!!

I can't comment on this as I've only read the SoC duology -> My reviews here:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... and https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... -> but I'm excited to hear (or read actually lol) opinion's on this as I wasn't the biggest fan of them! (they disappointed me)
Go at it! :D
