CP feedback or swap

I am a first time author looking for some critical feedback. I have completed a modern sci-fi novel of ~110 k words. It's set in current times, another civilization occupied earth millions of years ago. They left because of the asteroid strike but decided to come back now and are NOT happy about what humans are doing to the earth. They are far advanced from humanity and they engage with the main character who becomes the link between the two civilizations. I have started a sequel but want some feedback if I'm on to something that anyone else but me thinks is interesting.

Hi Jeff,

Your concept sounds interesting.

A gap of 65 million years makes me wonder about what's happened to them in the meantime, but I can suspend disbelief for the sake of a good story.

I prefer to work on Word, making marginal notes and the occasional block of consolidated comments on the larger scale of pace, plot, characters, etc. I don't touch the base text.
