I checked the places we are allowed to use for page count, worldcat being the most reliable. Unfortunately, that site doesn't give a page count for this edition. The other sites list 400 pages. I think only someone with the book in hand could allow us to change that. I'm sorry, because I can see that other editions have far fewer pages.

I don't know if this helps at all, but the US title (which I have) is The Murder at Hazelmoor . My paperback copy (ISBN 0-425-10406-0) is 228 pgs.

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 14224 comments Yeah, we can see lots of other editions with fewer pages. It's that the MPE is 400 pages. If someone had that specific edition ...

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 14224 comments Rosemary, Rosemary! You're in luck (I hope)! I found a library that shelves this edition - The British Library in Myanmar - and they show 248 pages. I have changed the page count on this edition.

This should fit better with your plan, I think!

Thank you! I am glad I didn't have to go all the way to Myanmar to check it in person :)

Tien (tiensblurb) | 3094 comments Looking at list of editions, there's no page number recorded on GR for edition on top of page but it is 188p according to Worldcat so I guess if we update GR, this is the one to be used?

Marie (mariealex) | 1096 comments Hello ! I have a general questions about page count and MPE for the 10 points category: i have planned to read this french YA book that is not yet translated in English, La chute du soleil de fer : the french edition is 512 pages, but i've just noticed the MPE edition for this book is actually in italian (and only 434 pages).

In this case, which edition / nb of pages should i use ?

Marie, this is not a situation that we have encountered before. We do not have an active Italian member, and we can accommodate your needs for this one. I'm willing to use the Italian MPE at 434 pages if that fits with your plan, but the French edition at 512 pages if you do not have another for 10.10.

Sorry for the tricky question :) I was planning to use it for the 500+ book, but i don't have a book yet for 400-450 so i can adapt !
