honestly, i try not to read that many reviews about hyped up books bc it rlly distorts ur own opinion abt them. bc theyre hyped up right, people sometimes become more opinionated than they normally are bc of the hype and they kinda blow things out of proportion

thats just my take on that HAHHA ^^^but i read ToG way back when, and i wasnt active on gr at all so i didnt even know what people thought of it. i loved it so much.. celaena was probably the most kickass protagonist i'd ever read about and i was really rooting for her. the entire series is like one of my top series so yeah AHHHA i have no idea why ppl hate it so much but their opinions are completely valid!
i suggest you give it a shot on your own and form your own opinion abt them. if the plot intrigues u, give it a read!
we always like a good kickass YA protagonist :)

same @Gourica most of them were thea stilton and I was looking for YA books since my obsession with Thea Stilton was long gonee ..

HAHAH thea stilton was so good but her books were always a tad more expensive than the normal geronimo stilton books right?? or was it just my bookstore?

At first I really like Thea Stilton but then it came that I can read half of the book just standing there pretending to look but I had moved on. That particular shelf was soo full of books
What they did was hype some books soo much.
One day my mom bought a Sudha Murty book and well I really liked it
Later I stopped buying anything from there
My interest in books was hardly there

nah! Neither could I. They did have the first harry potter booka nd only that.
Most of them were Thea/Geronimo stilton and those princess colouring books for kids. I never payed that much attention

@Gourica same!! i rarely found any good middle-grade books like PJO or HP, they were always from less famous authors but still pretty good though, i had a good reading childhood bc of scholastic HAHAH
