Zulfiya (ztrotter) Bookmarked all the selections. Excited like a child!

Paula (paula-j) | 0 comments I thought I would get a head start on the reading assignment and ended up gulping the whole thing down like cold lemonade on a hot day. I couldn't stop reading until it was done. It wasn't my fault! This book grabbed me and sucked me into it. I was helpless to resist :-).

I'm looking forward to the discussions.

Sarah Ha! Its completely fascinating so I can see that happening. :) Actually, the first sentence completely hooked me.

Linda | 1425 comments I started reading the first page into Part II and had to stop myself after a few pages! MUST. KEEP. ON. SCHEDULE. (I kept repeating to myself!)

Sarah I get confused and cause spoilers if I read ahead. So I have to stick to the schedule too. Sigh. We can always double up the sections if we don't mind reading 200 pages.

Linda | 1425 comments Are we going to stick to one Part per week, even though Part Three is ~90 pages?

Sarah All of the others are roughly 100 pages. I would actually like to do one part per week. I'm anxious to read it but I also think that these sections won't do well if we split them in half. They have such an isolated and contained feel. We do have the separate threads too, so if people get behind they can still post in the appropriate week.

What are other opinions?

Linda | 1425 comments I agree that splitting the parts into two separate weeks and threads is not a good idea. I'm happy to stick with one part per week even though they are longer.

Sarah Because some of us are anxious to finish this book, I'm going to speed up opening the threads. I'll open week 6 on Tues 3/17 and week 7 on Fri 3/20. As people have seen, we're continuing to have conversations about past weeks, so I don't think this will inconvenience anybody as they can go at their own pace. I can't wait to finish!

I wish I've noticed your post when it was written, I'm not ready for today! But then that's no problem, as you pointed out. And I see you want to get to the 6th person's perspective as soon as possible, can't blame you for that, LOL.

Sarah Yeah, pretty much nobody is completely on schedule so I honestly don't think it matters. I read section four last night and it killed me to not finish the book.

Teanka You mean section six :). I will do the same, then. The last section is also a bit shorter.

Me too, Sarah! (section six, that is). I started reading the first page of section seven just to see who was the narrator, got confused and started flipping ahead out of curiosity and then forced myself to put the book down. :)

Sarah Ah! In my defense I hadn't even gotten out of bed yet. Yes, section six. I would have loved to read this book straight through.
