I'm warning other writers in this group that there are criminals phishing for our email addresses by asking for PDF review copies of the books. I will no longer email to any reviewer and am also among a group of writers working with policing agencies to protect writers from this phishing scheme.
In case you don't know what happened, this week, dozens of goodreads authors were targeted for an extortion attack. We received emails demanding ransom pay or they would trash our books. Then, they proceeded to post numerous 1-star reviews on books. The FBI has been alerted and is on the case. If it turns out that the extortionists aren't in the US, there will be international policing agencies involved.
Meanwhile, please be careful where you email copies of your books. No review is worth it. Especially since so many fine books have been attacked.
