seeing beta reader who hasn't read Books 1 and 2 of my historical romance series

Greetings, all! One of the beta readers for my upcominb gook What Shows the Heart, Book 3 in my Cowbird Creek series, suggested I find one or more beta readers who haven't read Book 1 (What Heals the Heart) and Book 2 (What Frees the Heart), to see whether my references to events in those books worked for such a reader. I send my beta readers a list of questions and ask that they address some, if not all, of those questions. I thank my readers in my Acknowledgments section, and if I have a final version before the book goes on preorder, I send a thank-you copy. I'm hoping for feedback by mid-June.
