Nicolas (nik_the_froggy) | 20 comments Hello,

I think the numbering of The Dukay Family Series, by Lajos Zilahy, is wrong in Goodreads, accross all editions. It appears Goodreads considers the series to be ordered as such
1) Century in Scarlet
2) The Dukays
3) The Angry Angel

This is how it appears in "The Dukay Family Series" page in Goodreads
https://www.goodreads.com/series/1192...

And it affects all editions of all books in this series. For example my French copy of "the Dukays" (ISBN13: 9782070414352) appears as #2 of the series, in its dedicated page (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...)

As per my reasearch, the order of the books is actually
1) The Dukays
2) The Angry Angel
3) Century in Scarlet

Could you confirm this order and, if it is the correct one, update the Goodreads database accordingly ?

Thanks in advance for your consideration :)

- Nicolas

Sandra | 31549 comments The book order on GR reflects the realistic way that the series should be read.

There are always two choices for series here on GR, the way the author intended for them to be read or the chronological order, the order that they were written.

If you wish for the chronological order to be made a series, please advise, but we won't be changing the existing series, we will have 2 series, with the same 3 books.

Nicolas (nik_the_froggy) | 20 comments Hello Sandra,

Thanks for your quick reply :)

I know nothing about this series so I won't argue whether or not the author wants us to read the books in a particular order, starting with "Century In Scarlet", or not :)

I understand "The Dukays" book appears as #2 in GoodReads is by choice and not by mistake, as I originally thought. It's OK for me if the numbering stays the way it is :) I thought I had discovered a mistake in the database but it appears not, which is totally fine for me :)

Thanks again for your answer. This topic can be closed without further modification to the GoodReads database :)
