Either Graphic Novel's, or something, like Percy Jackson

Any graphic novel, really, like Blobbie! said, if you’re not that into books right now. It can be a great way to get out of a reading slump (but don’t read too much graphic novels/comics or you’ll become addicted like me 😂)

Aurora R (writingwithcatears) | 3 comments I recently started Shadow Of the Fox by Julie Kagawa and it’s helped me post- 5 star book. So I think this would help you get out of your reading slump too. It doesn’t hesitate to pull you in.

maya rajesh (mayarrajesh) I'd recommend reading a fast-paced book; something from a genre that you already like

Anna | 19 comments It depends a bit on what you feel like reading now.
If you like crazy worldbuilding and great action, there is the Mistborn Trilogy Boxed Setseries. I know some people here in the group are setting up to start reading it on May 15th. Maybe having a buddy (or several lol) can help.

If you want a still crazy but more Roman setting, there is a series called Furies of Calderon that is not very well know but it is great. The whole series came to be when the author claimed to be able to write about anything at all, and some of his friends challenged him to write a book inspired on Pokemon and the Roman Empire. I know it sounds weird, but I loved the books.

If you prefer a standalone, there is Shades of Grey (not be confused with the more well know title that starts with 50 hahaha). This is a more British humor, but the world building was super interesting.

Also, there is my dear Six of Crows if you haven't read it yet. It's only a duology, so you're not stuck in a huge series. It's set in the Grishaverse, so there is another series that takes place about 2 years before SoC, but honestly you can still follow the story just fine without having read the previous books. It might take you a while longer to understand the whole Grisha thing, but it will be ok (I read SoC before reading the previous books). If you decide to search for Grisha info online it's fine, just be careful with spoilers. There are some MAJOR spoilers.

nicole (nickysor) the secret garden helped me get out of my reading slump!

Sophie (yourlocalballerinabookworm) | 31 comments A couple books that helped me get out of my reading slump-
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard- In a world divided by Silver blood (those with special abilities) and Red blood (those with no abilities) Mare Ballow is a Red- but the only Red with an ability, a secret she is forced to keep.
The Selection by Kierra Cass- A pretty light hearted romance :))) I love this one!! Kind of a love triangle trope
The Young Elites by Marie Lu- A little bit darker than the rest, The Young Elites is such a fast-paced book that would definitely help with a reading slump.
Hope this helped!

Why try to get out of a reading slump when you can listen to audiobooks?✨😎✨

I think the Six of Crows duology is perfect for getting out of a reading slump. I also like Sarah J Maas.

Nick (black2thgrin) Anyone have any series or standalone books? I’m looking for something along the lines of Harry Potter, Artemis Fowl, The Magicians, Sword Of Truth….

Thanks so much for the help 😊
