Alan Whelan (alanwhelan) | 2 comments Hi. My name is Alan Whelan. My books are: The Lockdown Tales; Stories of Hope; New Zealand Republic; and Stories that Needed to be Told.

I can't claim these books or interact with my readers, because all of my books have been allocated to another Alan Whelan, who exclusively writes books about Africa: African Brew Ha Ha, Mandela Park, The Ghanian Stars, etc.

There's room for both of us, and his Africa focus means there's unlikely to be any confusion.

But how do I claim my books, and then starting creating my author page, and interacting with readers?

Scott | 8950 comments I have moved them to a new profile. In the future, we appreciate links to books that need work done.

Alan Whelan (alanwhelan) | 2 comments Thank you.

My profile is here:

https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/1...

Could you move those books to my profile?

I don't know how to use or access the other profile, and it doesn't seem a good idea to have two.

Sorry I didn't give links with my last question. This is my first day when I've actually done anything on this site, and I'm not familiar with the site or its protocols. Sorry.

The link to the book Stories that Needed to be Told, to which I contributed, is:

Emily | 17567 comments Scott moved them to a new profile for you to claim as an author. You are currently writing from a regular profile.
Scroll down the page to the very small print that says "Is this you? Let us know."
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...
Then you can submit the claim. Your user profile will be merged with the author one.
Goodreads uses spaces to differentiate between authors with the same name. You will have two spaces between your first and last names, so do not delete them when your profile is assigned to you.
