Jess Miller | 7 comments This is an essential read for any faith based organization striving to come to terms with racial inequality, reparations and how seeking justice and loving our neighbors is critical to being Church today. I really hope we can use this as a full book club read. The study and guided questions in each chapter, prayers and liturgies are beautiful and thought provoking.
1. Did you feel the book was approachable? Yes, impactful historical anecdotes and fresh perspective accompanied by prayerful direction and practical steps.
2. Who do you feel is the best audience for this book based on the Becoming Anti-Racist spectrum? Learning Zone
3. What did you learn that you didn't know before? This book helped me connect Jesus Gospel with Anti-Racism work, which seems obvious but I think I had approached this as an insurmountable challenge when in reality it's ALL about loving God and loving our neighbors, it's really that simple and we are just making it difficult by not allowing ourselves to be led by love.
