Scott Evans | 2 comments Hi Deora,

When policewoman Liesl Healy finds a small discrepancy in a report, all her colleagues tell her not to worry about it, but she stubbornly keeps digging, uncovering the biggest crime of all time--the 1% are victimizing the entire population.
Although ordered off the case, she can’t restrain her instinct to help the suffering. She risks her promotion and career to pursue it on her own(with the help of her partner Spoct, a talking, germophobic German Shepherd.)
The odds are impossible. Those in power control the government, the internet--everything. They send killer drones after her and give Healy and Spoct falsified criminal records. Liesl is to be lobotomized, and the machine that will disassemble Spoct is filthy.
To complicate matters, Liesl’s bipolar disorder is flaring up.

Thank you.

Given your interest in LGBT+, I wonder if you might be interested in Shifting Stars It's fantasy with a dash of sci-fi with LGBT characters.

In the distant future, an immortal girl masterminds an illegal and dangerous Time Intervention in a desperate attempt to save the world. In the calm before the storm, she begins to set out her justification, starting with the day everything was set in motion, a thousand years ago.

Hi Deora
I'm a new author and new to Goodreads, and I published a paperback literary novel/psychological mystery via KDP in July 2021 that I would much appreciate having someone actually read and review. It's a serious work with an important message and written at an advanced level, but hopefully it's also gripping from beginning to end. I hope you'll be interested. If so, let me know a delivery address and I will send you a copy via Amazon.
The book is called "Flower in the Dark: when the truth hides . . ."
Kind regards, Ewin Genghis.

BOOK SUMMARY:
When an attractive young psychologist with a troubled past begins her career as a counsellor, she finds that all is not well at her mental health clinic. Victimized in an intensifying drama of deception, sexual greed, and religious and philosophical confusion, Alyssa is soon in danger of being overwhelmed. In a thought-provoking illumination of the human mind, the author sets out to insert her into the reader’s own unconscious mind to evoke extended-meaning dimensions that foster increased awareness of the importance of unconscious psychological forces in everyday life and expose a world always in denial.

Hi Deora,

Stalked by a man who wants the proof of the theorem for his own glory, she turns to a friend for help, falling hard for him, while trying to conceal her own secret of self-harm.

message 12: by Leslie (new)

Leslie Garland | 197 comments Hi Deora,

I am looking for Amazon reviews for my collection called The Red Grouse Tales (The Little Dog and Other Stories) by Leslie Garland The Red Grouse Tales. This comprises four novellas, speculative or magical realism in nature, with a dash of philosophy and spirituality thrown into the mix. I’ll let a reviewer talk for me,

“The four stories in the Red Grouse tales were as entertaining as they were charming, and overall a really fun read. The different narrators of the stories I felt gave each tale a unique nature, and they felt quite different to each other. I read this through once myself and then read it over a number of sittings to a (reasonably) young relative and he enjoyed it just as much as I had. This would also make a good candidate for a book club as many issues for discussion are thrown up in each of the four stories.”

Here followeth the various links:-
My author page; https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...
Amazon UK; https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...
My website; http://www.lesliegarland.com

I’ll happily provide a free Pdf or mobi file to any reviewer who is prepared to post their review on Amazon. Please message me.

Kaden Hogan | 8 comments Hi Deora,

I just published a book called "Humans of Climate Change" Humans of Climate Change A Cultural Journey to Explore Climate-Change Impacts, Solutions, and Hope by Kaden Hogan

Climate change communication typically involves endless citing of numbers and reports which makes the topic abstract, distant, and impersonal. The book will take the readers around the world to explore different cultures and climate change impact from a personal and local perspective. From the desolate icefields of the Arctic to the lush green rice paddies of the Mekong Delta, let's go on a journey to discover what we are truly fighting for.

I would love to give you a digital copy to read.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Best regards,
Kaden.

I'd love for you to take a look at my new upcoming release!

A Better Part of Valor

While jogging off duty along the riverfront, rookie cop Valorie Dawes discovers the body of a young girl—and ignites a manhunt for a serial killer.

The Shoeless Schoolgirl Slayer has remained a step ahead of the Clayton, CT police for months. All of his victims drowned. All were found barefoot. And all bear the same strange, fresh tattoo.

Then rookie cop Val Dawes notices patterns that eluded the department’s more traditional senior detectives. Following her intuition, she discovers clues that convince her she’s closing in.

But is she? Or is the clever and elusive Slayer laying a trap to make Val the next victim?

I would be happy to offer you an ARC. The book is scheduled to be published in November. It's a Women Fiction, not really romance but with some romantic elements.

Please DM if you are interested.

D.M. Barr (dmbarr) | 30 comments Hi!

On September 4th, Champagne Book Group released the 210-page Simple Tryst of Fate, by D.M. Barr, first of the Tryst Series, which is a contemporary dark romance/romantic suspense with light BDSM and a HEA ending. Because the BDSM is more suggestive than explicit, you'd be hard-pressed to classify this as erotica. Here is the blurb:

Some Rules are Meant to Be Broken

A desire for a more conventional life once propelled travel writer Dani Barrett into a disastrous marriage. Ten years later and newly divorced, she’s back on the road with a series of rules to protect her heart and a secret sideline as an erotica author. On a press trip, she meets James Aldridge, a charming yet cynical publisher who arouses her interest. Little does Dani know James is secretly an investigative journalist with his own kinky streak, and that rather than writing a travelogue, his undercover probe into political corruption will suck her into a treacherous journey across South America that could either end at James' gravesite or in his loving arms.

If you have interest in reviewing the book, and I hope that you do, you can download it as an epub, pdf or mobi (Kindle) on Book Sirens at https://booksirens.com/book/DM0XMZH/L... . (I'm afraid I don't have the budget to send out paperback review copies, sorry!) Because the book has already been released, I don't have a date by when I'm requesting a review.

Let me know if you need high res photos of the cover, of the author, or if you need social media links.

My other books are always available for review on Book Sirens:
