Hired Killer is a regular, anonymous guy. Describes how he got into the business, his thoughts about each job. Possibly 2-3 book series. Read around 2011?

The main character was a hired killer but just a regular, kind of an anonymous guy who didn't stick out. It described how he got into the business and his thoughts each time he was hired, plus a description of his victims and why they needed to go. There was more character development than descriptions of the actual killings, so it wasn't a scary or horror type story. I'm not sure, but it might have been a 2 or 3-book series. I do remember that by the end he was married with children and no longer in that business. I don't know the time frame, but it could have been as much as 10 years ago. TIA
