SOLVED. Fantasy novel involving a Dungeon sequence of events

So, in this book the MC and a woman are thrown into a dungeon that is much like an oubliete. long shaft down from the entrance and a large drainage hole in the middle of the floor. The floora of the dungeon is described as sloped inwards towards the drain and the other tenants/criminals are huddle around the edges where it is flatest. There is a main ring leader among them that is making a rope out of human (or assumed to be) tendon. The guards are sadistic and throw moldy bread towards the edge of the drain pit hoping somebody gets pushed in. The guards urinate on the bread sometimes and are generally disliked. The MC escapes the dungeon by falling through the drain into a mountain of human waste and is chased by one of the other tenants/criminals.

Other than that, i have no clue what else is in this book. Ive read it in the past 8 years but cannot recall if it was newly published or not.
