The series covered the first 2 trades before it was canceled. It was faithful with the larger aspects of the comic, but did take some liberties. Rick Remender did write some of the episodes in addition to writing the comic.

30 VOLS OF SHOJO MANGA!? Which series?"

LOL. It's embarrassing but that's all I can read lately. Here's the list:

-A Girl & Her Guard Dog, vols. 1-4
-Asahi-sempai's Favorite, vols. 1-7
-Cutie and the Beast, vols. 1-2
-I'll Win You Over, Sempai, vols. 2-5
-The Mermaid Prince, vols. 2-4
-Sweat & Soap, vols. 1-5
-Vampire Dormitory, vols. 1-5

Most of it was just entertaining garbage but Sweat & Soap is one I'd highly recommend. It's the most realistic adult relationship I've seen in manga.

Nancy | 174 comments I didn't read many graphic novels in March & April ( I last posted in Feb on this topic), but picked up the pace this month!

The Crossroads at Midnight by Abby Howard- Excellent short story collection of five creepy tales, perfect for a YA audience.

The Department of Truth by James Tynion IV & Martin Simmonds- What if conspiracy theories became truth because of collective belief? Had an X-Files vibe.

Covid Chronicles by Ethan Sacks and Dalibor Talajić- True stories from the front lines of Covid-19” in this somber but solid collection of ten short stories about the current pandemic.

One Soul by Ray Fawkes- An ambitious graphic novel that weaves together 18 different lives, spread out through the centuries to tell a singular tale. At first frustrating to read, then the mosaic comes together.

Secrets of Camp Whatever by Chris Grine- A whimsical YA mystery has campers discovering supernatural beings at their summer camp.

Jupiter's Legacy (V1& 2) by Mark Miller & Frank Quitely- Took a familiar trope- can the next generation of superheroes live up to the original heroes- and made it fresh. Great art. Wanted to read it before I saw the Netflix series.

Jupiter's Circle (V1 & 2) by Mark Miller & Wilfredo Torres- Soapy prequel to Jupiters Legacy. Set in the 1950s & 1960s, the Union of Justice team members are still grappling with their new identities & the fame that goes along with their powers. Not as good as the original two.

Good luck with that one. There's about a 1,000 volumes to One Piece and it's still ongoing.
