Saving Lucas Biggs by Marisa de los Santos and David Teague 3 stars

Three stars--an average between 4 star writing and my less than 2 star interest in time travel, but I wanted to finish reading all of de los Santos' books.

There's a good blurb for this that is long enough to pique a child's interest but not so long as to spoil the adventure in reading it. This is a three POV book, and the story has heart, family love as well as a some nasty mining business practices plus at least one good lesson for kids to learn from it. De los Santos primarily writes for adults, but she co-wrote this and one other novel for children with her husband, children's author David Teague. The fact that both of them support their family by being full time authors is impressive.
