Even after Nicole escapes from prison, Lucy has a hard time convincing team members that her role is bigger in the crime family. Why were they so resistant to the idea that she could be in charge?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I think everyone was sold on the idea of Tobias as the evil mastermind. And, since Nicole had a job with the DEA, they probably felt that she was just a flunky in the organization.

The magnitude of that escape should have convinced them she was someone important. That was a massive amount of planning and resources. I was convinced immediately. Just think, they made very little attempts to rescue Elise.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Good point, Jonetta. Why would they come up with such an elaborate plan for a flunky? She had to be someone very important in the organization.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 9285 comments Mod
That’s exactly what I was thinking.

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments Because it came from Lucy.
I agree that they also figured Tobias was the big guy in the organization.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments I agree, Melissa. They still don't take Lucy seriously and Tobias is a man, so of course, he's in charge.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 9285 comments Mod
I think you both are right about that. A bit of gender bias going on here.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments Gender at both ends of the question, Lucy was a female newbie, and Nicole was not thought to be the leader.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 9285 comments Mod
Good point, Charlene.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree. If the information came from anyone but Lucy, they would have listened. No one trusts her instincts including Juan and Barry.
