While Jeremy Templeton wasn’t the murderer, he was the human trafficking connection. Kim never saw him as a killer but knew he had an affinity for young girls. Were you suspicious of him from the onset or did his involvement come as a surprise? Was it risky of him to make the deal with Kai even though he knew Kim had her eye on him?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments I was suspicious of Jeremy even though I didn't know how deep his partnership with Kai was.

Jeremy is one of those men who thinks he can out fox any woman. He didn't think Kim is smart enough to piece together Jeremy's part in Kai's operation. He also thought his plan to meet up with Kai and Ellie was too good for some feisty woman to catch him. He does tell Kai that he is going to lay low after this deal because he doesn't like Kim sniffing around.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments From the moment Jeremy appeared in the book, I knew he was up to something rotten. I was surprised that with Kim telling him that she was watching him, that he would go through with transporting Ellie. Dumb move. He didn't take Kim seriously.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) I thought Jeremy was just a punter. It surprised me that he was totally in cahoots with Kai Lord. Another despicable character.

Sharon, it was in retrospect that I really appreciated how Kim took the lead in their initial questioning of Templeton. Remember how he smiled when she walked away? He really didn’t think she was smart enough to dig deeper.

Robin, I felt he was up to something but couldn’t decide if that was just me intensely disliking him or if there really was something there.

Lisa, yes, another despicable character among the rot in this story.
