Basically, taylor wasn't allowed to perform her old song or include any of her older songs in miss americana, because of sc**ter braun
He also sold the master rights of her old albums for like $300 million for someone not affiliated with Taylor

So she's rerecording her first six albums to own the rights and be able to perform them as she wants and do what she wishes with them, as she should be allowed to, because she made the music
taylor's version are the albums she owns, the ones that are actually hers
