Yes. I'm not even sure I would call this a twist as it is established early on.

I wasn't surprised at all and yes, I'm not sure he's really dead.
I like DT as Maddox's partner. He had a lot of information, but I don't know why he would tell Everly not to trust Gabe.

That also made me wonder.The other question I had was Maddox must have had suspicions before he broke with Sara so why didn't he say something to Gabe? Out of all in the group these two were the closes. Maddox kept everything to himself, why?

As to why, DT would tell Everly not to trust Gabe and the others, it could be that he is angry over Gabe's attitude toward him and Zach's unwillingness to help when he asked for it. Maddox seems like the type of person to hold a grudge...
I don't think DT is any of the friends. I think it is a character we haven't met yet. I think whatever Maddox and DT are involved in, it is something tied to the Russians and not just the human trafficking, something more.
You're right Anita. I also thought this is something big. The President's father and the Russians are at the center of it all
Interesting comments. Anita I didn't feel like Maddox would hold a grudge against Gabe. They were long time friends. If they have problems, it wouldn't last long. I always thought he kept people out of the loop because he was protecting them.
Maddox's partner is a good option as DT, but I'm still leaning towards someone close to the President.
