Sienna Macpherson Suddenly!, is about a little pig is walking down the driveway, completely oblivious to the hungry wolf lurking around the corner, when the pig suddenly realizes something he has left behind and turns away at the last moment, causing the wolf to fall flat on his face. The wolf pursues the little pig during the day, but the pig eludes him each time, completely oblivious before the wolf finally gets his comeuppance in an unlikely way.

The amazing thing about this book is it can be used across a range of subjects in the curriculum and across different age phases including the EYFS and KS1. This book is also very engaging. An example of a lesson that I may do incorporating this book maybe when looking at the national curriculum aim "becoming increasingly familiar with and retelling a wider range of stories, fairy stories and traditional tales" to make the lesson interactive, as a class we could look read the book, create a storyboard as a class. The children could then role-play as pigs and walk around the school which has been set up to match the different environments the pig encounters in the book e.g. school, shops etc. They can then make their own storyboards.

I love this book because of the repetition used, the illustrations and the rhymes.
