Wes Hubert | 72 comments I open to a regular critique partner or a one timer. My current book is a 70 K soft scifi.
The colonization of the solar system's asteroids is in full swing. A colony ship finds their target asteroid is unfit for habitation so they try to force themselves on an already established asteroid colony. What follows is a twisting adventure of interactions, confrontations, surprises and voyages.
I'm happy to read your manuscript in exchange.

Nathan Jones | 190 comments Hi. I'm not a paid editor. I'm not looking to charge you money.

I'm a recently self-published author of Travelling Without Moving, which you can check out on Amazon to see the quality of the writing.

I've also helped two other authors edit their books. Nadine Ducca (a sci-fi) and Zachari Bonelli (an mlm spec fic). You can find them on Amazon, too. Their writing is very high quality.

I’m currently helping Sharon Grey edit an urban fantasy. You can find her by searching for Grey Matters Blog on Facebook.

So, your novel has potentially interested me. Could I perhaps see the first chapter? If so, I'll let you know if I can help.

Robert Brown | 78 comments Wes,
Your story sounds exciting. I'm looking for swaps for my current MS is "The Horse with No Name,” a futuristic adult sword-and-world fantasy, complete at 140k words. I don’t have an agent and will pursue traditional publishing. I also write sci-fi and I think I'd enjoy yours.

A brief blurb: Ben Reyes is foraging in the jungles of Paraise when he comes across a lost horse carrying a map. If Marrie Qi, fresh from college where she studies arcane, has translated its text correctly, the map leads to a buried vault with great "celestial power." Before Ben can think about it, he and the wizard-in-training he adores are sailing into the hinterlands with a smith’s apprentice (his friend) and a rogue smuggler (her friend), chased by a squad working for powerful organized crime lords. This is planned to be the first of a trilogy in which Ben and his friends, at the behest of a local deity, help humanity reclaim their place in the stars.

My most recent reads include The Expanse #6, NK Jemisin’s The City We Became, and Cherie Priest’s Bloodshot. My most recent favorite books include The Burning God, Machine, The Priory of the Orange Tree, The Relentless Moon, and Architects of Memory. Books that define me? King's Gunslinger, CJ Cherryh's Cyteen, Gaiman's American Gods, KS Robinson's Three Californias, but I've also loved lately reading Leckie, Adeyemi, Doctorow, Bacigalupi, Valdes, Chakraborty, N.K. Jemisin, and others.

Sebastian Black (sebastianblack) | 20 comments Hey Wes, I like the sound of your book, and I'd be happy to swap with you.

My MS is a 90k urban fantasy about warring angels who live in hidden cities across the sky. There's magic, two LGBT characters, and some violent scenes. Please message me here if you're interested.
