Him killing the guy wasn’t good, but the action showcased what he would do in that position. So for character development, ten out of ten, but for as a person I would want to interact with? -10000000/10

You remember the time he got mad at Neville for cooking his potion wrong so he threatened to feed the potion to Neville's toad, which would have killed it? And then when Hermione helped Neville fix the potion he got angry that the toad didn't die and took points from Gryffindore??

He had reasons, not excuses. He was a terrible teacher and pretty bad person in general.

That's my opinion. Also I'd hate to be Lily.
