I hope you are well. I am a prospective student and in the recent Induction Day meeting, I was told that face veils are not permitted due to safeguarding reasons. I understand the college's concerns, however, I was hoping that a compromise could be reached, as other colleges and sixth forms in Leicester do permit students to wear a face veil. Due to security concerns etc. I am willing to remove the veil when entering and leaving college, and at any point in the day if a member of staff would like to see my face for security reasons. If there are extenuating circumstances that lead to me needing to remove my face veil, I am also willing to do this. However, I would like permission to wear it for most of the school day as it is a part of my religious identity. I hope you consider my reasons and feel free to share any other concerns with me.

Unfortunately, we don't permit the wearing of face veils. However, many of our students wear the hijab, but not the niqab.

I read Adult romance/contemporary and Adult suspense and crime thrillers. But they are jam packed full of trigger warnings so I don't know a lot of people who read them.
