“Wrong will be right, when Aslan comes in sight,
At the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more,
When he bares his teeth, winter meets its death,
And when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again.”
This is definitely a timeless classic- one that's really close to me. I read this first around two years ago and I loved it. It definitely had a few downsides but has and will always stay with me 💝
I've seen a lot of people who've reviewed this book have thrown whatever format they use out of the window. But I cannot do that. . .so I'm sticking to my format.
Starting with the Plot
Concealed by a wardrobe was every child's dreamland. Narnia, the land of eternal ice and snow! (Now I'm making it sound like Arendelle)

When Lucy ventures into Narnia, she meets Mr. Tumnus, a fawn who (view spoiler) Mr. Tumnus is very sweet to her and she immediately likes and trusts him. Compared to her siblings, he seems kinder and a better company.
When she returns home and tells her siblings, they scoff at her words as 'mere stories.' But when they stumble upon it, all thoughts go

Knowing that Narnia is under danger, they set off on a marvellous adventure to save it.
The plot was really good. It was a bit too convenient at times and the magic system was a little complicated. But other than that, it gets a 5/5 from me.
The Writing gets a 2/5.
To explain myself, I’m going to ask you how many ‘ands’ do you think are okay to use in one sentence? One or two? I counted a sentence that had six ands. The sentence was a paragraph long. I don’t think I need to say more…but I will.
The dialogue tags were reallyyy not diverse. It was ‘Lucy said’ and ‘Susan said’ and ‘Peter said’ and ‘Edmund said.’
I use and so much because it’s only fitting as that’s a specialty in the book.
And the ‘presently’ drove me crazy. What mood is that word supposed to convey? I mean-
I don’t know what I mean.
Moving to the Characters
I’d like to start off with Lucy.
I heard her (somewhere) being described as a cinnamon bun.
Which means the sweetest, most innocent of the lot. She lives up very well to this description. It’s proved from page 2 or 3 with this quote-
[quote to be inserted]
She has the typical ‘little sister’ status amongst her siblings. Unlike me, she seems pretty happy.
She’s really likeable…but I didn’t see any development. From Page 1 to Page [insert page count], she remained the same.

The version in my computer has everything inserted… but how does this look?["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Really good!

“Wrong will be right, when Aslan comes in sight,

Isn’t there anything I can improve?
