And that's one of the reasons why I absolutely ADORE Leigh Bardugo.. It's just sooo uplifting and feminist to read without degrading men.
Perfectly balanced

EXACTLY! Men too are supposed to cook! A woman's job isn't to look after the house! everyone has to be self sufficient! (unless they're really old or on a wheelchair etc, then yes go ahead help them, men women and our non binary pals :))

Nash (all too unwell) (iambecomeabladee_n) | 8087 comments Y'all someone told me that feminism is different in each country
Do u agree?

I don't. Bcz at the end it's Abt women getting equal rights. While here in India, it might be basic educational rights...US might be equal job opportunities
Whatever it is...women get oppressed. That's what we should fight against

YEAH! It's hard to find novels like these. (esp in romance. in romance there's usually girl on girl hate *sigh*)

Especially one of my uncles (my mother's sister's husband- mausa ji) constantly taunts my mom for not raising me as the IDEAL LADY.

P.S. He doesn't allow his daughter to go on the terrace of their own house as people may see her

Absolutely disagree with whoever said that.
The definition of feminism is "the belief that women should have the same rights and opportunities as men" and that belief is the same, regardless in what form it's being acted upon

DON'T AGREE. Feminism is equal rights for ALL.
It's at different stages in different countries but the essence is same everywhere.
EQUALITY.

That's just extreme. It's actually sick.
My mom is too busy protecting me and other relatives don't care

Ash (inkwordsandash) (inkwordsandash) | 5364 comments Let's see how this goes-
I'm going to gender swap sexism

"How dare teen boys go out after 7pm! What if someone sees them? Oh no, they must be kept at home and protected like pearls. They must wear full sleeves and jeans so it's not distracting to wandering eyes! Also, they must be quiet and must only speak when spoken to. How dare they have the guts to talk to a woman! Their job is to stay at home and look after their children. They mustn't have steady jobs, what if their emotions cloud their judgement? No no, men are very precious and delicate! They must stay at home, learn how to cook so that they can serve their wife and children"

C'mon, how weird and awkward does that sound?

Same.
And people tell this to women... This should NEVER be said to anyone!
A woman can be in the army. A man can look after his wife. A non-binary person can be a politician. IF IT IS THEIR CHOICE.

When I was 11, a male family member told me to be a proper lady. The reason?

"What do you protect? Diamond or coal? Diamond, of course!
Girls are like diamonds that's you (me) should stay home and let the men protect you. Boys are coal.. too hard. Not precious, so we send them out to work in heat and difficult situations."

I was terribly confused until mommy dearest reminded me that I'm a fucking human, NOT a stone

Yes you're human, not diamond!

Also technically speaking, I'd value coal. Coal gives you heat when lit. Diamonds are nothing but pretty objects.

I'd say women are bombs and men are fire
Both destroy you.

The world wants people to model to their expectations.

Especially Korean beauty standards.. the girls are literally underweight! And they want when to have curves but not too much.. they have to be pale, SUPER thin
Hwa Sa and Jessi have to go through so much hate
